Zedrush Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 Was with my dad driving back from teaching last night, pulling into my dad's drive indicated then before he knew it had to apply the brakes a car out of nowhere came on to the pavement trying to serve around us but instead collided on my side and then carried on a little bit before coming to a stop. Dad and I looking at each other thinking WTF then as we are abouts to get out 3 guys get out with their chest pumped up walking towards us with attitudes, dad and I get out and all of a sudden their chests suddenly get deflated and they go are you okay mate we are so so so so sorry Dad and I look at each other thinking whats going on thought we were going to have an argument on our hands... Police then drive by and two girls then get out of the car, the three guys say to the police its her fault officer she was speeding round the corner and we saw them indicate and pulling into their drive but she was going so fast she couldnt stop... She admits liability, Police smirk and take down her info and give us reference number and copy of her details. Police leave and the guys keep repeating again and again we are so so so sorry.... Dad and I asked them if they are okay they said they are okay and again apologised repeatedly They leave and I go inside with dad to have something to eat, I sit down at the table and dad takes off his black belt and says to mum Im going upstairs to get change, I take of my belt and then it dawns on me, two black belts getting out of the car as 3 guys approached us no wonder why their chests deflated Now thinking everyone should wear a karate suit and black belt when driving, incase of accidents clears up incidences alot quicker PMSL think you can get em from any local fancy dress shop thanks god for that I might of got my ass kicked Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I got out the car they would have probably laughed at my shiny frilly shorts with huge waist band. Good story though, no doubt if things kicked off, the police would have driven past and seen 2 black belts picking on 3 guys for bumping their car, and you would be in jail! I remember a group of these wanna be gangsta types challenging me and a mate to a pool game ( we were on the table ) Reluctantly we agreed but they wanted to do it for money only about £20. They were giving all the back chat, standing really close and trying to put us off then I put on my club hoody. conversation went something like.. them "you do martial arts then" me "yup" them "You any good" me "hmm ok done a couple of tournaments, I can hold my own" them "so what belt are you" me "Im a first dan black belt - hes a 4th dan" They shut up after that and their game went down hill rapidly! Lol UFC actually promotes all martial arts bud, mma is just that mixed martial arts you have to learn it all, BJJ use to dominate in the early days until stand up fighters started perfecting what they call a sprawl which defends against take downs now there is no one art that dominates they all have strengths and weaknesses, Machida for example is background is in Shotokan karate and bjj, he is a very awkward fighter cos of his style and is or was the light heavywieght UFC champion. GSP learns karate, bjj, greco roman, thai boxing and boxing and judo, Fedor leans judo, boxing, thai boxing, sombo, judo and variety of others. If anything UFC promotes all martial arts. Anyone who goes in there without a background in at least one particular art and tries to learn it all together normally dont do well, they become jack of all trades master of none.
