jkl Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Afternoon everyone! I test drove a 350Z yesterday and fell in love with it! Feels great to drive and is one of the best looking cars around in my opinion. Found a metalic grey 54 plate at a car supermarket for 10.5k. 66k miles, FSH, 2 owners, good condition. It has the GT spec, tan leather, 18" alloys, and rear parking sensor. Last service was 12k miles ago though so it's due a service. Based on my research the price is good. Let me know if you think otherwise though! I put down a £200 deposit yesterday and am planning on picking it up tomorrow. I'm tempted to get an AA car inspection on it now though. Hopefully I'll be posting back soon with my 350Z! Quote

ZMANALEX Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Hi JKL and welcome to the forum. An AA inspection is always a good idea especially if you are a member of the AA 10.5 K sounds like a very keen price for a UK GT spec. Quote

350zStephen Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Welcome to the club The AA inspection will be worth it I think, for £250, you'll have the peace of mind You won't stop grinning on the way home me thinks Enjoy Quote
bronzee Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I'm tempted to get an AA car inspection on it now though. An AA inspection is always a good idea especially if you are a member of the AA Very smart move! Worth it's weight in gold. A couple of the newbie owners over here in NZ, after me advising them to do so, steered them away from a few. Two in particular got perspective car AA tested, came up with faults that wouldn't be necessarily visually obvious. Another thing that has come up with two of the cars here, is rims looking tidy, not curbed, vibration on driving, proved to be buckled rims. Also the AA probably won't know about the windows dropping about 5mm when they open and close to release pressure inside the cabin. If the windows don't work thusly can be off track, or worn out window motors. Quote
jkl Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 I've collected the car - I don't think I've smiled so much on a 100 mile drive home before! My last car was a small hatchback with ~100bhp so this is a major upgrade for me. I'm looking forward for the snow to clear up so I can go for a drive! Quote
