martinmac Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Why would anyone do that, mindless. If only the punishment fitted the crime Quote
Trev-the-Rev Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 That's shocking. You really do hope that they get caught but not by the law Quote
Chris`I Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Barstewards! If only he had a Zed. Crap handbrake would have meant it was in gear and the RS4 would have been safe Quote
GC350z Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Sucks buuuut it was only his cars set alight, as far as I can tell, so there's a lot to this story that probably will never be told. Quote
Sarnie Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 If the RS4 was not parked on double yellow lines it would still be alive and kicking today Quote

How do you mean bud? Eyewitness saw them trying to nick the Evo, couldn't get it started so torched it. The 205 was parked next to it so caught too, and when it burnt through the handbrake cable it rolled into the RS4. Nasty chain of events... Quote
H5 Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 ah just read that it rolled into the audi. It was my first thought though. Quote
GC350z Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 ah just read that it rolled into the audi. It was my first thought though. Yea but my first thought was 3 cars belonging to same bloke set alight – suspicious. Should have been a copper. Assume guilt until the appeal says other wise. Quote
Sarnie Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 The RS4 was still on double yellows.............. Quote

sl114 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 The RS4 was still on double yellows.............. We heard you the first time It needed saying again In fact, does that mean that insurance is invalid as it is parked illegally? Quote
willo Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 This is shocking, it seems to me you can't have a nice car without some jealous pr!ck trying vandalise it or some jealous pr!ck trying to steal it. Hope they catch the to**ers! Quote

We heard you the first time It needed saying again In fact, does that mean that insurance is invalid as it is parked illegally? I'd imagine they'd try anything to get out of it, citing that if it wasn't parked illegally it would of been damaged etc etc. My initial point was that why would you park your car directly behind your other car on double yellows? inside job? Who woke up Miss Marple, then! I can't see the insurance company getting any mileage out of the double yellow lines issue and if he has three cars and he lives in a flat its hardly surprising he has trouble parking up. Hold the tar and feathers lads! Quote
