longsh07 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Fitted a set of SGS engineering boot struts last weekend and just noticed today that the boot lid, at the hinged end, is now sitting proud. I've also spotted that the struts themselves have come into contact with the underside of the boot lid... Anyone else had this problem or have I just got unlucky... Quote

What's annoying is that fitting them the wrong way caused the boot to pop quite nicely and would clear the catch by a good margin. Now they're the right way I get issues with it not popping properly (yes I've done the penny trick). Oh well. Quote

cs2000 Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Remove the weight on the inside of the boot lid plastic trim too. Even with brand new poppers an SGS struts, mine still wouldnt pop on a cold morning until i removed the weight. Quote

Erni902 Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Evidently, I fitted mine correct the first time with no issues. Cue fitting them for a friend....put them on the wrong way hahaha. Luckily noticed before I popped the ball joints in so just swapped them over dead quick. My boot would also not pop removed the boot weight and fitted tap washers, fitted the SGS boom 1 finger boot pop.......Fitted Nismo V2 spoiler....back to square one lmao. Got some more tap washers somewhere so will bang another couple in. Quote
