Ok saw the film last week and thought it was ammmmaaaazzzziing! Exactly what i wanted to see blood, guts and things getting blown up. Even old sly managed to relate it to the things happening in the world today which i was very impressed with lol! Any of you guys seen it and whats your thoughts? :boxing:

I went to see it. Thought it was a little bit silly in places. From my limited knowledge of guns and what not, 50 cal sniper rifles do not take a head off a body and propel the body 30 feet in the direction of the bullet, nor do jeep mounted machine guns rip people in half with 1 bullet, least I didn't think they did. Also the bit with the claymore, which I wont explain for people who haven't seen it, was horses**t :p

Netherless, it was entertaining. I was happier paying the 6 quid entry for the film than I was over the 7 quid i paid for the drink and box of popcorn :headhurt:

I watched it the other night at home (!), its proper 80's gory cheese! pretty pointless, but then only Rambo and Rocky 1 are worth watching anyway.

But then it's little more than a vanity project anyway, so i wasn't expecting too much. :teeth:

Did you think you were going to a film that was meant to be realistic? None of the Rambos have been so why would this one be any different?

I've only seen the trailors for this film and it looks like the worst film in the history of man kind. Just a gratuitous extention of the Rambo series prurely to make money just like the latest Rocky film. When will Sly realise that he's past it now

I'd rather apologise to the OC mods than watch this film :D

 I LOVE Freddie got fingered!!! Laughed my rocks off watching that!

There were only two films I've seen at the cinema that ruined my whole night, one was Predator (I know some of you love it, but I hated it), the other was Rambo 2. the part where he buried himself in a mud bank to avoid being seen by a patrol was ridiculous. I can't figure out how he managed to cover himself in mud, legs? okay, body? yep, head? check, arms? NO WAY!!! you can only do one! how do you cover the other arm????:rant::angry: I know you've got to allow a little cinematic license, BUT COME ON!!!!

That said, I AM looking forward to seeing the new one

My hatred of Predator was based on a similar incident :yuck:

Hey guys i kno sly is gettin on a bit lol and really there isnt much more skin left to stretch on his face but come on. There is so many action movies now that are just rubbish, there has not been a proper blood and guts action film in ages. Yes i do agree big sly did it for the money but hey wouldnt we all! As he said he simply did his last 2 films ie Rocky and Rambo to give them a proper ending lol :p . Plus rocky 5 was bloody terribe! :boxing:

I saw that Clive Owen movie, Shoot 'em up, the other day. It's was brilliant, pure action movie porn! full of cheesy dialogue, but some great quotable lines, and completely over the top action, I loved it. Then watched the new Jet Li/Jason Statham flick, War, what a load of ol' sh!t!

Jet Li shoulda never gone to Hollywood, His early HK movies were aces

Got Ong Bak on DVD and Tony Jaa's follow up, Warrior King. If you ain't seen the latter, check it out. It has an unbelievable set piece where he figts his way up an enormous spiral staircase in the inside of a huge building. The action is done in one take, and our hero is never off camera. You can see just how knackered he is by the time he gets to the top! It's even more increddible to know that these things are never done in one take, he musta been absoluetly shagged!!!

Awesome films. Ive met Tony Jaa too, on the set of the medallian, along with Jacky Chan and Sammo Hung. Nice guy a great Muay Thai trainer. But his skills from day one have always been for the films not for the ring. Same as Jacky Chan is not a true martial artist, he was a gymnast before doing martial arts for the film scene. All top blokes, ate with them too in Dublin

I rode in an lift with him at a hotel I worked at years ago, from the lobby all the way up to the penthouse. :p
