Personally I tend to stick with Acer laptops, although I am running a PC Specialist own-brand one as my work work right now which is spot-on. It's one of the better i7 models though, we've also got an i5 cheapy and the keyboard is shockingly bad.

Had 2 Acers previously, good machines.

Like anything else - you really, really need to state your price and people can bounce ideas to you after that.

Was thinking of £200 max !

Do you need a laptop? Have you messed around with tablets?

Yeh have a tablet bud but really need something with a USB !

Just walk into Currys / PCWorld and ask for the best laptop for £200 (give them requirements of screen size / intended use). Unless it has some special fancy feature, the more you pay, the better it will be, can't really go wrong. Brand is pretty much irrelevant, you're just looking for the best CPU and a decent amount of RAM.

Almost any Dell. Can't go wrong. I admin several hundred, (we have several thousand globally) and very rare do I have an issue with them

Avoid Toshiba, absolute pits. We bought a large multi-national company that used them, and we inherited junk.
