Timing chain "Kit" VQ35DE

Hi folks,

 

i wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction, I don't want to go to Nissan if i can help it.

 

Are there any good aftermarket kits available out there?

Maybe I'm wrong but in parts like timing chain, tensioners, water pump, oil pump I always stick to OEM stuff. OEM timing chain and tensioners have proven to work on long run covering a lot of miles b4 getting slack

No , has to be Nissan i'm afraid , they dont do a kit you will need to strip it and check what parts are requiring replacement

I dont need to change anything.... just wanted to change the timing gear as my mechanic said he would certainly recommend it while he does the rebuild. Parts from Nissan are around 1K

These guys tend to have OEM parts a bit cheaper than the local dealer. They have a few different chains for the 350, no idea which ones are required.

Have you tried Clark Motorsport or Adrian ? They do oem at decent prices.

Hi folks, thanks for the reply..

 

I have decided to go with an OEM from Nissan. I know it's a lot on top of my rebuild but right now i want to the motor to do another 85K at least so i would be happy for the piece of mind.

 

 

just means some more saving to do

Just had a meeting with a company about timing chain kits for Impreza's etc

 

All OEM parts

 

I will find out if he can do one for the 350z
