Black trim front bottom of bumper?

Got my GT front splitter from Tarmac and looking to fit in the next few days, anyway when you fit a new splitter do you remove the standard bit of black plastic trim under the front bumper? Or screw the new one into it?

Seems like it would probably fit ok in both situations (just offered it up to the car so far)

TBH not many Zeds have the OEM 'bit of plastic' fitted ... lazy assed dealers couldn't be bothered

Haven't tried to take it off yet but appears to be just a few self tapers

It's sandwiched between the bumper and the engine under tray also then by design clipped into place

There is a couple on eBay at the moment. Jon@emporer has one on there and I think a new one is up for about £140

Sold mine a few years back when I installed a stillen front splitter, got £50 for it.

anyone know if it has to be removed to fit an aftermarket splitter? (Tarmac GT one)

After hearing that it's actually worth something though I might just remove it anyway lol

Wow, I didn't realise these were so rare and expensive. I have a brand new genuine Nissan one still in the original wrapper that was never fitted to the car. So mint condition and original packaging, that's got to be worth a small fortune

Did a test fit and the splitter easily clears it so it's going to be left on.
