valy Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Dude, sorry to hear about your engine from Jez today! What's the plan to get it sorted? don't know how serious the problem is...it might be just a faulty sensor but thought will not take any risk and do the remap another daycar drives well and only stationary and at low speed is when the needle stays down will check the oil pressure this morning with a mechanical gauge and see , if this fails will probably change the oil pump at step two etc.... will get an update here later on 1 Quote
Zjay89 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 only just started following this build but my god this car will be epic when its done! love the Rocket Bunny kit! 1 Quote
low IQ Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Valy im loving your thread, you have balls to cut your arches. With the work and prep your doing I'm sure it will look great and your arms will ache after all that blocking down 😄. Where did you get the air system from? I've been looking for the same for my 370, a lad at work has it in his BMW. He installed it himself a very simple system. Cheers lee 1 Quote

Dean.B Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 This is a great build mate I'm very impressed and look forward too seeing the final outcome. I want to make my zed purple one day haha You won't be disappointed with the airlift kit it's a great bit of kit 🙂 Can I ask where you got.you plate holder from? I've got a Nismo v3 bumper that I need to attach a number plate too. But I wanted to make it so I could remove it for shows and stuff. That bracket looks like something I could just unscrew when needed. Quote

Thanks mate,I have bought the number plate from Ebay...just search for 'adjustable number plate holder' and you have various designs/colours to chose from...downside is most of them are from Asia so you will have to wait a bit for a delivery but on the plus side they are well priced Quote
Dean.B Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) That's great mate thanks I'll take a look ðŸ‘🻠Need to get the bumper sprayed up soon so I can wait for delivery haha Edited February 21, 2017 by Dean.B Quote
valy Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) things are still moving with my project although a bit slower than I would like as I don't have as much time as I need next to do was to sort the oil pressure this is how bad it was after 30 min driving then I ordered this oil pressure sender from China for only a tenner ,downside being I had to wait for delivery for like 2 weeks but on the plus side I saw this on sale in the UK 8 times more expensive so worth the wait and this is after fitting and 15 min drive pleased with it next thing was the AirLift suspension install and after a bit of advice from Dean.B (thanks) I have decided to have a go at it myself nothing like a full learning curve so got my order of black acoustic carpet and glue spray in and started the boot build Edited March 4, 2017 by valy 4 Quote
veilside z Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 It's coming along nicely Valy. Proud of you buddy for having a go, especially after the big body build too. 1 Quote

valy Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 spent most of today working on the car and I had to change the 18mm OSB for 11mm plywood and redo the boot build for air, after that I have bolted the compressor and the tank, downside is I just realised I am missing a few fittings from the box so I'll have to speak to the company that sold me the kit for them next, after debating for a few weeks now ,I have decided to give the Zed a twist and blend in parts of the rocket bunny kit couple of pics below, although it might be difficult, because of the colours, to see the lines I have followed Quote
Stuggerz Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Blending the rocket bunny is the way forward. its gonna look so good. Loving this build 1 Quote

Jay Kay Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I hate the visible fixings on these kits, but I've also seen tonnes of kuts blended in that start to crack in under a year and need redoing. I hope it works out for you Quote

I hope it works out for you although I will be blending in most of it , there will still be parts left with fixings...I think if you use the right materials there is no reason for it to crack over time Quote
Dean.B Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) I like the idea of blending them into the car a bit mate, makes it different ðŸ‘🻠Edited March 15, 2017 by Dean.B 1 Quote
