Kieran_ctr Posted March 26, 2016 Share Posted March 26, 2016 I have eyelids on my car which I had fitted by a body shop while they fitted my rear bumper, I aren't keen on them & want to take them off but found out they used silicon, they have only been on a few weeks so my question is how can I get them off without damaging the headlight? I managed to remove all of it except one spot on the n/s lens that had eaten into the lens. Luckily I managed to source some facelift lights for a good price. Soak some sheets of kitchen roll in it, lay it over the silicon, leave for a couple of minutes, use an old rag to wipe it off, repeat until done. ilogikal1 Posted March 28, 2016 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Looks like they'd benefit from a polish, particularly where the sealant/glue sat. That should get rid of the paint transfer too.
