Adrian@TORQEN Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Ladies and gents, Would you be interested in having the awful plastic cheap looking intake manifold in your 370z replaced with as GTR manifold? It's not only the cosmetic reason, but as I'm sure you know already, the GTR has a larger twin plenum design comparing to the slimmer single plenum design on the 370z manifold. Generally, larger plenums will develop more torque than smaller plenums. This has been tried by GTM before, but has always remained a prototype. We've only started looking into this recently and I'll keep you updated with the progress on this thread. Feel free to comment, debate and suggest any ideas you might have! Here are some shots from our CAD studies so far: 2 Quote

Drayvn Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 (edited) I would think this would fit the 350z HR too? Edited August 24, 2015 by Drayvn 1 Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 Will look into it, but at a later stage, it's a very, very complex project as you can see Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Are there actually any gains to be had from this ? It would look epic polished up but not sure it will gain you any power? Quote
flyboy Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Count me in for testing the prototype! Im sure we can come to a deal Adrian. Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 Ha ha, long way til we get there Martin, but I'll keep you in mind Josh, this should show torque and power gains, but also improve the look on the VQ37HR engine 2 Quote
Sharpe Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Are you engineering your own plenum in the same style of the GTR's, or (like most of the others before you) trying to do a conversion to make the GTR plenum fit on a 370Z? Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Are you engineering your own plenum in the same style of the GTR's, or (like most of the others before you) trying to do a conversion to make the GTR plenum fit on a 370Z? Conversion to make the GTR intake manifolds including OEM to work on 370z. Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Some updates, we finished the 3D model, flow tested etc. We're in the process of getting quotes for the part to be made. 1 Quote
Kev T Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 This is very interesting, i think someone on the US forum has attemted something similar, keep us posted. Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) Hi Kev, Yss, there was a German guy trying to do it, he never finished the project, even after I've pestered him for a few good months after tracking him down. Then GTM did a prototype, but went bust. Let's see if TORQEN can pull this trough I'd say start sourcing your OEM GTR intake manifold ASAP Edited February 17, 2016 by Adrian@TORQEN Quote
-Bradders- Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Don't forget the old DE as well I think it may have already been done? I just came across these pics on US 350 page... Mind you it might be a HR nope, i just seen the comments its deffo a HR! Edited March 16, 2016 by -Bradders- Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted March 29, 2016 Author Posted March 29, 2016 Manifolds are now in production. Can't wait to receive the first batch, will be offering one for free for a 370z NA car that wants to go on the dyno for testing purposes, before and after Details to follow. Quote
