Have to admit I've not stayed in a lot of hotels, ...also mostly cheaper places so you usually only get basic tea/coffee making facilities but I've never come across that sort of thing before. The reception consists of a little slot that's low down so that the receptionist can't see you etc... In general the rooms are quite nice though! 1 Quote

The reception consists of a little slot that's low down so that the receptionist can't see you etc... In general the rooms are quite nice though! Seen ones in Brazil and Colombia, not Japan. I just hope they have really thorough cleaning staff, unlike the peep shows in Amsterdam which I've been told smell awful. I understand some love hotels have a glass toilet door so the Mrs can watch you on the bog. Way to get her in the mood 2 Quote

I would expect that though considering the mentality in Japan is "the custom is god", so the cleaners would be in big trouble if they didn't clean it well. But yeah, definitely not a place anyone would like to go if not well cleaned Quote
