Well I have seen some very average games by England over the years but this was dire. Glen Johnson can be good going forward but a full backs first priority is to defend. He is certainly not international class. Gareth Barry has not had a great season and is just to slow. How many times was he caught on the ball, and as soon as the play went past him he was struggling to get back to cover. He was supposed to be the cover in front of the back 4, Claude Makele or Ya Ya Toure he is not. Perhaps a fit Rio Ferdinand, in tandem with Terry, would have made us more solid at the back, it certainly couldn't have been any worse.
Can somebody explain to me why, when you need goals, would you put Hesky on? Then Wright Phillips gets another day on the telly, why? Oh and put Gerrard on the left so he can have an easy day before going on his holidays.
Aaaaaaaarh, I'm so pi$$ed off.
