  1. So where were you? We went to four different bars. The first one was manned by a couple of stroppy bouncers, who would not let us in at first, and when they did we found only two people playing pool. The second place contained a bloke singing cockney songs very badly. The third had the Jako lookie likie. And the fourth place was a very quiet bar with VH1 on the TV, that closed at 11. No sign of quizzes, fancy dress, beer, karaeoke, Japanese buffet or sake
  2. Travelling east between Ampthill and Shefford at about 2 pm.
  3. Good to meet you all you all yesterday. Good to see some of your cars “in the fleshâ€. Tried to find you in the “club houseâ€, but only managed to track down Darren-B. But to do so had to run the gauntlet of a cockney singer and a Michael Jackson impersonator. Will my nerves ever recover? I’ll post some more pics soon.
  4. OK, I've got the weekend sorted out. I'm coming up on Saturday, and will probably be there after lunch. I didn’t fancy the tent option and wasn’t going to pay 180 quid for a static, so I’ve booked into the Premier Inn just outside the aquadrome. See you all there.
  5. Mine's missing too. It looks like I've got a machine gun behind the grill. Wish I did
  6. Its certainly more fun the closer you get to 20 mpg.
  7. Just noticed that if I extrapolate the line I get something interesting. If I drive around at 150 mph, I should be able to get 49 to the gallon. You can prove anything with statistics
  8. It was last serviced in the middle of March. So a bit too recent to make a useful comparison. Like everyone else, I find the long motorway trips do a lot better than the short windy trips. In fact there is a strong relationship between the recorded average speed and the recorded mpg...
  9. Well I'm glad you mentioned that because I have been tracking the trip computer data as well. It tracks the calculated mpg very closely, thus suggesting it is quite accurate.
  10. Shown below is just over 12 months of mpg data calculated from the odometer reading and the number of litres added at each fill up. Averaging at 25.1mpg. I seem to be getting lower values recently - perhaps my right foot is getting heavier
  11. Not a 54 and not on the White Way on Friday. I have seen a couple of other blades around So what you driving then, Richie? I'll keep an eye out for you.
  12. I guess the owner is not a member. Oh well. Is it possible I would have seen you around, Richie?
  13. on the A602 between Ware and Stevenage.
  14. Its an ELM327 USB scanner with Gendan EngineCheck. Its not bad, but the coding is a bit crude. Some aspects I'm not keen on. It does allow data logging and export to Excel, which is how I produced the graph.
  15. Why is the ECU reset antisocial? You don't have to have the engine running when you do it !
  16. From my day at Santa Pod.... 0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.4 Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.66 Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 97.9 Not far off.
  17. Azure blue coupe heading south out of Stevenage on the A602 at 11:25 this morning. Looking cool . I was on my push bike, holding up traffic and not looking cool
