I agree. I'm not really into flashy number plates. My actual plates have the legal EU emblem, just to save me having to put a GB sticker on when I cross the channel I'll re-do the pics with something more to the forum's taste

I don't think it was me. I can't remember driving over to Pin Green recently. I have been across to the old town a few times. I have noticed a one or two new zeds in Stevenage recently. Not spotted you, though.

Looks fun. Count me in. What do most people do about accomodation? Tent or Caravan? Is there a hotel near by (I like my home comforts). Oh and its not far from Santa Pod. There is a RWYB on the Saturday.

Regarding the TP sensor, mine went back in May. £1600 to replace. Regarding the data you have acquired, I find that really interesting, as it is well known that the Zed only produces 90% of its specified power and torque. Could this be a coincidence?

Hi to the driver of a gun metal coupe who looked very surprised when my wife waved at him Not sure if its the same chap I saw in the town centre a few days before. There ia also an orange coupe parked not far from me. There seem to be a lot around Stevenage at the moment.

This is very consistent with the results for my car. Still curious why the Zed only produces 90% of the specified power and torque output, while other cars seem to be able to achieve their specs. Is there an error in the calculations, did Nissan just lie, or is there some way to get back that extra 10% performance?

Discovered something new last night When using the windscreen washer, the headlight washer sprays as well (but only sometimes). Only noticed because it was dark and I had the lights on - I observed a strange haze in front of the car when I washed the windscreen. Tried again but it didn't happen. Thought I was going mad , but it happened again tonight. I assume it only sprays the headlights sometimes to save screen wash? Had the car 8 months and only just found out. What other surprises are out there for me?

A bit far for me to travel on a Wednesday night. If one time there could be something in the Herts / Beds area, thet would be cool. What happened to the suggestion of a Stevenage meet?

There was a blue convertable (56) with LED rear lights two cars ahead of me tonight at about 5:30 in Ware, heading toward Stevenage. Anyone here?

I haven’t diligently kept records of the trip computer, but when I have noticed it, it seems to tie up quite well with the information I get when filling up. Andrew

I know - I can be a bit of a geek at times

As an ongoing check on the fuel economy of the car, I always note down the odometer reading and the quantity of fuel added at each fill-up. I’ve had a look at the data for my first 6 months of ownership and I am getting an average of 25.4 mpg. This is a mixture of journey types from a driving holiday in Europe to my daily 10 mile each way commute. Clearly the long runs result in better fuel economy – my best being 30 mpg on the motorways through France. So I get a reasonable correlation with “miles per dayâ€

Spotted a very smart looking black coupe heading out of Stevenage on the A602 today. We exchanged waves. Saw the same one (or similar) a few days ago when I was out walking.

I wrote to my MP a few months back about this. I pointed out that backdating the tax rules so that my 04 fell into band G would not take my car off the road or make me drive it more “economicallyâ€

Earlier this week the Hertfordshire Highways Agency has been resurfacing part of the A602 near Ware. As far as I can tell this involves putting tons of chippings all over the road and using the public’s cars as sweepers to clear the stones off the road. This morning I was driving through the area, very slowly as the quantity of chippings is unbelievable. A car travelling in the opposite direction threw up a stone and it cracked my windscreen. I was livid. Has anyone on here had the same experience, or does anyone know why they use this approach to repairing the road (I can only assume its cheap). I intend to claim the cost back from Herts Highways as I consider putting that quantity of loose chippings on the road and making no attempt to clear it up to be negligent.
