    0-60 timer

Link works fine for me http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid ... IX&cpc=SCH Looks interesting. Do they work - seem rather inexpensive.
  2. I followed a nice looking Kuro Black into Ware this morning.
  3. I don’t have a TomTom One, but if it is the same as my TomTom Go, you will have to use the itinerary feature (its on the third menu page). It’s not great, but it works.
  4. Blade near the harbour front / amphitheatre - heading into underground car park - Saturday afternoon.
  5. GM past me near J13 headed east , Sunday afternoon. Exchanged waves.
  6. Since I got the car..... 351 435 357 361 384 334 The high one was all motorway miles.
  7. 13.8 seconds. Lots of good info here.... http://www.fastestlaps.com/car458c5f4375177.html
  8. A Blade or Gun Metal (not sure which) and a Sunset. Regularly on the A602 between Ware and Stevenage.
  9. There was discussion about this on the forum a couple of years ago. Has any one removed theirs? It just seems a bit of a pointless item. I didn’t have one on my Prelude – I never found that a problem. This leads to a more general question. You always get rear wipers on hatchbacks, but never on saloons – what gives??

    Air Fuel Ratio

I'd be expecting to see the lower end of that scale for an OEM tune, but certainly not in the 11s. Ok. So there is some doubt about the accuracy of the data (although the reading at idle looks about right). Is there any way a standard garage (without all the fancy tuning gear) could check this for me? If the mixture genuinely is rich, what could be the reason? Could this be a symptom of restricted airflow, for example, a blocked filter? Would it be worth me replacing my standard paper filter with a high flow K&N, for example? Has anyone else had this measurement done on their car? Do the data look similar?

    Air Fuel Ratio

The engineer at Crazy Horses was surprised. Also surprised at how variable the mixture is between 3000 and 6000 rpm. Sniffer in the end of the exhaust. So is this something to be concerned about? Should I do anything about it?
  12. Attached is the AFR data from my recent dyno run. Any of you technical people have any comments / suggestions?

    jwt induction

So as someone new to induction kits, what are the pros and cons? I am guessing..... Pros Sounds nice Small increase in performance (anyone know how big?) Bragging rights Looks cool and shiny under the bonnet. Cons Higher fuel consumption Higher insurance costs

    Dyno Data

I agree. I was doing it mainly to check for any problems, but the data looks fine.

    Dyno Data

I wouldn't use the cheap stuff (i.e 95 ron). I've been usng the ESSO 97ron, as that is the best they sell at my local petrol station. Would moving to 98 make a big difference? I know Tesco sell 99ron fuel, but I tend to aviod supermarkets. Anyone think Tesco is a good option?

    Dyno Data

I put the Zed on a dyno today. 254ps max power and 331NM max torque at the flywheel. I think these figures are in line with what others have measured? Question 1. Why don't these values match the manufacturers claims (280ps and 363NM in my case)? Question 2. Is there any way (without adding non standard parts) to get the figures back where Nissan say they should be? Thanks very much to Crazy Horses Racing in Borehamwood. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
  18. That's the one. I don't have one, but the fittings are there, so the car used to have one at some time in its history.
  19. I don't have one of these, but sounds like that's what I need. Anyone know where I can get one?
  20. I have the virtical Tonneau, which I got from Nissan for about 95 quid. I don't have a horizontal one, despite being a GT. You can see into the back part of the boot with the hatch closed. Also anything white (e.g. shopping bags - yes it does get to go to Tesco) reflects onto the back window. Not the view I want when I look in the rear view mirror. So if there is something I can get to sort this out, I want it.
  21. I don’t suppose such a thing as a horizontal tonneau cover exists for the Zed? I’d quite like to keep my stuff out of sight.
  22. These figures are taken from a 350Z brochure, so are not very accurate. If anyone knows where I could get hold of some more accurate figures, or even a print out from an actual measurement on a real car, I’d be very interested. I am of course most interested in the 2004 specification, not so much the newer, higher power specs.
