The Zed does not have hydraulic tappets. I would not be entrusting my car to a garage that told me this as they obviously do not know there Zeds. It is a very big job adjusting the valve clearances (tappets) on the Zed as to do it properly the cams have to be removed and to remove the cams requires the heads etc. to be removed so you are far better removing the engine to do this job. I doubt if it is a noisy tappet, get a 2nd and 3rd opinion from a zed specialist. Good luck Alex.

RS in 2010/11 with PDK with a full warranty on 100,000 launches. Are you hoping they will have fitted proper paddles by then? I found the paddles on the generation 2 with the PDK are absolutely superb.

I maybe should have added in my original post that this is a generic Nissan gear knob and is not a direct replacement for the 350Z. I think that the knob as advertised for the 350 Zee is from a Primera 6speed. It will fit the Zee as the thread is the same but it is a shorter item in dimension.

The majority of brake pads will squeal if Copa greaze is not applied correctly. For your application Ferodo DS 2500 will serve your needs admirably.

Yeah, I think it looks good, go for it, be a bit different. Best to use high temp paint and high temp lacquer. Powder coating would not be a good idea for obvious reasons.

I think that might become it bit to complicated and may cause other issues. Erm, i mean just splice the positive wire from the aftermarket shift light in a wire that goes to the OEM one (if there is one!) so that the aftermarket one flashes when the OEM one does. So basically wiring a light on to a light if that makes sense Surely it wouldnt cause problems??............ It wouldn't be me Remember and post up for a fix when all your electrics go wonky
