I'm 99% sure now I'll get one of these in June, when I get back from LM and I shift the 911. Never owned a rotary, and they're so cheap that they're practically disposable! As much as I'd like a good late R3, I think a decent '05 will do so I can save some cash to modify it.

I like it, and I hate CoD. Definitely seems far enough away that you wouldn't even know it's made by the same people, and the Titans definitely give it a change of pace. 6v6 works well, maps are the perfect size, guns well balanced too. I'd never buy it though, as there's nothing else but MP and that's not for me. For a free 20 min blast over a weekend, it's been a hoot.

I don't get this. You bought the worse car (from a driving perspective) because it was less common. I'll never understand that. Ever. Buy a car because you like how it drives, how it looks, how it makes you feel, but don't buy one simply because no-one else does.

Less than 10 miles a day means the Zed is not the car for you. Lots of short trips like that isn't going to do a big engine any good, it'll never get the chance to get properly warm. By all means go for it, but be aware that you could be opening a can of worms IMHO.

Which E92? A 320d I can understand you not feeling the love for, but a 335i should be more than entertaining.

They do get a little bit more reliable, but not a huge amount. Biggest change IIRC was the fitting of a much larger starter motor instead, which made cranking the engine easier and less likely to cause issues. There were other smaller changers to improve cold start and the notorious flooding probs, but nothing that would stop me buying a car of any vintage. The later ones are so cheap due to the higher road tax. Crazy how another £200 a year will put people off buying a 20mpg car!

There are, of course, many legitimate uses for torrents. Just because a technology has become known for being used for nefarious means, does not mean that we all use that technology for that purpose. Not all black BMWs with tinted windows are operated by drug dealers, y'know.

Uneconomical? Yeah, not great on mpg. Only 3mpg worse that a Zed, though. Burns oil? It's by design, it keeps the rotor tips oiled from the sump oil. Fit a second bottle full of oil to pump in and you'll never burn the sump oil again, Always go bang? Nope. They do need a rebuild from time to time, but again that's by design. In return, you get a beautifully smooth engine that never lugs, revs to high heaven and sounds very unique, whilst contributing a low CofG allowing the handling to be sublime.

Thank god they haven't, would ruin the whole ethos of the car!
