  1. Tried that, it just ruined my calibration altogether. It made the wheel turn 360 for about 30 degrees of movement, which is a smashing bug to have. Went back to default and it was fine.
  2. http://www.isrtv.com/pc-racing/project-cars-force-feedback-tips-and-settings/ Don't just read the text, that makes little sense still, watch the entire video and try it at the same time. I found I needed to put the spindle master scale up to about 40-50 to get the feel I needed, which ties in with what the guy says when he mentions the PS4 being too strong and the Xbone being too weak.
  3. I'd have no issue with community service being done in exchange for JSA (or whatever it is these days), as indeed the Tories are planning to do with 18-21 who don't find work after training. The only time I've claimed benefits was back in 2002, when the company I was working for went pop. I didn't actually need the money as I had savings, and was planning to go abroad and work any way, but if I didn't sign on for three weeks they wouldn't give me the redundancy money I was entitled to. That was the big sum I wanted, not the piddling amount of JSA. It was ridiculous, I had to turn up with my little book they gave me and say I'd been to interviews and been actively seeking work, but to tick the box. It's that kind of crap that is/was a waste of time and money, for everyone.
  4. The HRA is being replaced with something hopefully a bit more common sense (giving prisoners the right to vote, anyone?), so that's probably a good thing IF they can get the wording right. Snoopers charter can FRO. As can repealing the fox hunting ban. NHS has been broken for years, nothing new there. It's been struggling since as long as I can remember and I'm only 35. When push comes to shove it's great (A&E), for the routine stuff it's hopeless and private medical cover is the answer. It doesn't matter who got in, the NHS will still be broken in 5,10, 20 years time. The NHS saved my Mum from ovarian cancer back in '97, so I want to see it succeed as much as anyone. And yes, I meant scum who were rioting and defacing the memorial. Absolutely people should have the right to peaceful protest, but I can't help but wonder where these people were before the election, if it was so important to them? There's another march on soon, an anti-austerity one, which will no doubt kick off some more. I find it incredibly distasteful to do so right now tbh, as I see it more that they're marching against democracy as their favourite didn't win.
  5. I very nearly gave up on it and went to do something else instead. When the most exciting bit of the race is a jackman with some ice on his balls, you know F1 has a problem. As much as I want to watch it to see Lewis win, I'm getting increasingly bored of this now.
  6. You'll need to add a ground wire in, there are instructions in here. I'd run the mike under the dash and then up the A pillar, just pull the plastic back a bit and shove the cable in. I'm puzzled as to how you've got a car with no audio controls on the steering wheel but you do have cruise, as I thought that all Zeds came with stereo controls on the LHS but cruise was always a GT-specific option on the RHS? Not saying you're wrong, clearly I've had that wrong all these years!
  7. I've spent the evening tuning the FFB on my wheel, as I wasn't happy with it at all. It's now massively improved, and I've got proper feeling, but still needs more work. There's simply too many options there for this, it doesn't need them. FM5 is perfect out of the box for this, so why did they bother? It's also far too complex, and the descriptions are crap. I did find a guide that should help, I'll post it tomorrow.
  8. I thought that at first, but actually they're just about right. Nobody really wants FWD so the token Clios are enough, and road cars aren't much fun either on track when racing so no need for too many of those either. Personally I'd like to see more GT3/GT2 cars, but without the Pork or Fezza licences they're a bit limited.
  9. They're awful, aren't they? They're on crossply tyres, which is why I think they're gash to drive but even so you'd have thought something that old should be relatively fun to chuck around. I hate them, I've finished that championship now thank god. And why would I want to change the FF per car? That should be in the main options and set permanently, not having to use up precious practice and qualy time faffing with it before you can get it sorted. And for some bizarre reason the game sometimes decides to set the gear final ratio to minimum, so if you don't check you end up with 800bhp and a top speed of 98mph
  10. Actually, the way Labour themselves have handled this defeat has been very impressive. They've been honest, open, and respectful. They've admitted their shortcomings and where they got it wrong, and are looking to see how they can get that right next time. That can only be good for everyone, because without a strong opposition no government can be taken to task.
  11. If you look at the Digital Foundry comparison vid, both PS4 and Xbone very rarely touch 60fps, most of the time it's closer to 45fps and 30fps with lots of cars and rain. Xbone drops more often (well, so it should!) but neither are great. Truth is, they over-reached and under-delivered on the consoles. In happier news, I sorted out the handling on the 190E last night and I lowered the difficulty back down to 50, and all's good again. I guess I'm just very good with the Formula Junior cars, but not very good with everything else
  12. You guys are just going to the wrong ones, I'm sure of it. I had nothing but good service and fair pricing from my local one.
  13. It's buggy as hell, that's for sure. Zero excuses for this after the delays, it's simply not good enough and proof why crowd funding doesn't work when you've got stuff this ambitious. I was really enjoying this until tonight. Formula Junior is great fun, ramped the difficulty up to 80 and it was just challenging enough, especially in the wet. Then got invited to a couple of historic races... Well, what the hell?! The Escorts have absolutely no grip at all, they're awful to drive no matter what you do. I don't expect them to be pin sharp, but they shouldn't be that bad. Then I got some 190 action, and that seems to be crap too: Slow, understeery rubbish. The 190 thing is odd, as I was playing online with that last night and it was fine, that was my first go with it and I had no issues adjusting at all. When this game is good, it's stunning. When it's not, it's as bad as anything I've ever played.

    Eyebrows

I suspect Tarmac Sportz will be able to help you out here
  15. I read the title, and immediately thought of the Nelson Mandela joke. I still love that one
  16. Scum. They wouldn't be calling for change if they'd had the result go their way, I suspect. Or maybe they'd like it is the SNP had a handful of seats and UKIP had won 80+ seats? Somehow, I suspect not, especially when Tory and UKIP combined to rule all.
  17. Another one joins my church of awesome tyres, hallelujah brother!
  18. It does say that, promise. Look, if your insurer specifically wants you to tell them about each individual thing and you say decats, they'll either say yes or no: Every one will be different, I can't speak for any of them.
  19. For the record, I'm not Conservative, they're just who I voted for this time around. I've voted for Blair's Labour in previous elections, so I don't feel I'm blinded or biased to always vote one way regardless of what's going on in the country at the time I know this next point is pure speculation, but if Labour had won with a majority I struggle to picture an Internet full of hate for Ed, with everyone saying that the voting system is unfair and it was Ed's scare tactics over poor people starving combined with the champagne socialists wot won it. As I said on FB, it seems to be those on the interweb that shout the loudest that seem to be on the losing side: Scotland's independence first, now the 2015 General Election. I suspect that's no coincidence, and there's some clever sod with psychology and sociology degrees out there who could make some sense of it.
  20. \o/ Now go get the T3PA pedals as well, and the TH8A shifter!
  21. I wouldn't be choosing my type of fun transport based on how safe it was.
  22. Bike.
  23. See the windscreen thing. You can put a spare wheel in your car with no tread on the tyre, MOT fail but not remotely illegal. MOT has zero to do with insurance or being illegal.
  24. Why would they not? For example, I have my car insured with 'exhaust changes' under modifications. That includes any part of the exhaust, so manifold to backbox. I'm running a cat as I can't be arsed with the hassle, but I could swap happily to decats if I wanted.
