Just looking for some advice really. Came back from Vegas in May and someone has driven into the side of my car and left no note. Super news. Took it to two body shops today and one quoted £2000 including a new body panel... and then when I said I couldn't afford that he said it would be £975 for three days work to pull it out (a more detailed quote has been sent). Waiting to hear back from the other tomorrow but not holding out hope, they had two Lamborghini's outside when I pulled up!! Questions: 1. I haven't contacted my insurer yet - should I bother? Don't want to lose no claims, but by just calling them might I? Or do you lose it when you actually go through with the claim? 2. Does £1000 mark seem a reasonable quote? 3. Does anyone know any decent (cheap) bodyshop in Reading/Berkshire where I might be able to get this cheaper? 4. How much would the value of the car drop if I just sold it? (If less than the cost of fixing it I might be tempted...) 5. Does anyone know the person who hit my car so I can go round and give them an exceptionally tight hug - around the neck - with a garrotte? Photos:

These are two screenshots from the video they send you of the work that needs doing. I'm just worried that the deep creaking sound isn't that. Also the labour on the invoice was 30 mins of work and the parts are the £500+, so I didn't know if I could get the parts price down somehow?

Just had this on my service from Nissan. Basically the rear wheels really creak over speed bumps and the service thought this might be the reason and the cost to fix it. Now, as someone who knows jack @*!# about mechanics (but I drive well if that helps) I was wondering what the hell this means and if this is: a. Likely to be the problem b. A fairl price?

Hey guys. I have some slight damage on my hood and don't know what to do about it. Also - is this a vinyl or fabric top on the 350? I want to treat it but the product I've purchased says "do not use on vinyl". Thanks for any comments/help.

That's the mod I want to do but I'm just not sure I'll be cutting the right wires, and I've only ever soldered my own finger in CDT lessons back in 1996, so I reckon I'll be ballsing it up pretty swiftly!

Yes I am... very excited. My issue (don't laugh) is that I have to install this before the wife can found out that I've bought it. Should be a challenge to say the least! Any tips or helkp would be appreciated, I've installed ICE on an Vauxhall Astra, VW Golf, Suzuki Swift and a SMART ForFour before (yep that's my car history!). The moment I saw soldering/splicing/grounding etc I've started to think I may be out of my depth!

Ah, maybe I've been looking at the non-roadster specs...

It does, but my impression was that UK zeds either had audio and cruise, or neither? The GT spec (I thought) had both... but mine doesn't.
