  1. Nope, they'll get smashed in the semis by a Portuguese side that will finally wake up. It's a shame, but at some point I think they'll fall and with no Ramsey or Davies I think it'll be the next game. Should be a good one tonight though, Italy vs Germany. Kum on ze Germans!* *That's a chant, not in instruction.
  2. As much as its stating the obvious, I'd be amazed if you didn't have a wire either not connected or to earth or otherwise not back to how it should be. That's where I'd start.

    oil pressure

In fairness, he doesn't have to either. If he didn't know then he's probably been running the engine dry or just assuming TADTS, if he did know then that's a bit naughty. Zero way of proving it though I'm afraid. Horrible when this happens. You have my sympathy. I'd estimate you're looking at anywhere between £1K to £2k for the work, depending on exactly what needs doing or what you may choose to upgrade whilst you're there.

    oil pressure

Did you ask about oil usage before buying? Did he mention it at all? Not trying to point blame, purely fact finding at this point.

    oil pressure

Holy hell! Erm yeah, I hate to state the obvious but that is one very very unhealthy engine. I would strongly suggest getting it looked at with a view to a rebuild/replacement engine ASAP, unfortunately. Assuming this was a private sale, of course. Was it?

    oil pressure

How many miles have you done in that time?

    oil pressure

Yup, oil gasket issue not relevant on your car, panic over

    Do you have an HR?

    oil pressure

Check your oil level. If it's okay, then the pressure is fine. But yes, looks perfectly fine to me. Anywhere between min and max is usually okay on that dial.
  10. Strip it, slam it, track it.
  11. If the responsibility always stays with the driver, then autonomous cars are pointless as you still have to give full concentration. If the responsibility goes to the car, lawsuits will quickly put a stop to the whole plan when accidents happen, plus they would rely on EVERY car being autonomous. The first instance is the more likely one. It'll remain forever a gadget within my lifetime (much like EVs ), but it's an interesting niche to see developed.
  12. See, I see driving as a privilege, not a right. If someone cannot concentrate enough to drive properly, then they shouldn't be on the roads full stop. I get that can limit life for some people, but honestly that's just tough luck. Transporting people in a 2 ton hunk of metal travelling at 70mph *should* be a skill, not something you pass on to a computer to take care of for you.
  13. Lion Otter. No wait, Tiger Seal!
  14. Unless your car is lowered or with a body kit on, you'll be able to park anywhere a normal car can. The 370 isn't particularly long or wide, so as long as you're reasonably competent at parking you'll be fine.
  15. I'll assume it must've been life or death, as you wouldn't catch me doing a conference call on a Sunday
  16. "Sorry, what? No, can't hear you, line is terrible! You're breaking up... can't hear you..." *click* brrrrrrr
  17. He's an idiot. Ignore him. A transfer box is used in 4WD vehicles. And no, running with TCS off won't hurt the car in any way, shape or form.

    tyre decision

Trust me, if you can then stick with the MPSS. There are other decent tyre options out there, but the MPSS still has the edge in all departments for me.
  19. So now Boris isn't running, are we assuming a straight fight between Gove and May? Who is better placed to argue our case when we Brexit?
  20. You would bloody well hope so, after the money and effort!
  21. Highly unlikely. They'll just let them run on the standard worldwide map I expect.
  22. At risk of provoking a thread into something it isn't, I can kinda see Mouthwash's point. There's plenty of data out there showing that, for example, London is 10% black by population yet more than 60% of recorded gun crime is committed by black males. However, if one were to state that all black guys in London are gun toting robbers then you'd rightly be put down incredibly quickly. Some youngsters don't care about voting, and some really do.
  23. The youth may not vote much, but they sure do make the loudest noise.
