  1. No bailiff would be able to take the case due to the reasons stated above. Whoever came to your door wasn't a proper bailiff, and you still shouldn't have paid regardless.
  2. DONT DO THIS! been down the same route,£50 fine turned into £455!!!! bailiffs banging on the door, had lots of hassle but got it down to £100,that was a private firm too, appeal it in writing but if you lose just pay it,it aint worth the hassle even if your in the right,my princables nearly cost me £455 and caused me a headache. Must have been a council ticket then, as a judge won't write out a court order for bailiffs given that they have no idea who the driver was. They've sent the letter to the registered keeper who is in no way legally bound to disclose who the driver was, and as such they have no one to claim against. Husky, seriously mate, don't pay. And you can't pay in 5000 pennies either, as they don't have to accept it.
  3. The fasting might not be too much of a problem (assuming it's only for that day and she stock up on carbs the previous days), but doing any kind of distance running without water certainly is and really shouldn't be encouraged at all. Best of luck to her and all that, but please tell her to take on fluids before and during the run.
  4. Tbh if you fall for something like that then you deserve all you get.
  5. They're about £80 for the slave and £90 for the master from my local Nissan dealer. I'd go there personally if I were you. Well, not to my local one as clearly that's a bit of a trek, but your local one should be fine.
  6. Has she taken medical advice about the fasting? No food is probably okay, but surely no water is going to put an immense stress on a body when running in heat? Not taking anything away from her of course.
  7. And that's exactly what both answers have given you That's exactly what I use for lubricant, nothing else.
  8. Meguiars Last Touch Detailer, as found here. Lasts for aaaaaaaaages. Failing that, if you're desperate any of the detailers that Halfrauds sell will do (I think they do an NXT one as well).
  9. If the goal is to make it look pretty then spend the lot on a full correction with Envy Valeting or similar and then keeping it topped up. It'll make the car look a lot better than anything else will IMHO.
  10. Don't go from 6th to 5th? Go straight to 4th, do not pass go, do not collect £200 etc.
  11. Chuck it in the bin. Don't respond, don't do anything apart from bin it.
  12. A week is nothing, mine often sits for two-three doing nothing if I've got other stuff on. If it was being left for a few months I might worry about it, but certainly not just a week. Fill it up or don't fill it up, it really doesn't make any difference over a short period.
  13. Missing a leading number one from that figure I suspect. Which would then make it overpriced, but a bit more sensible than £5K.
  14. The Zed will still feel slower than the Supra due to the power delivery, if you want it to feel fast you'll have to turbo it to the same power level. That said, the 350 will in reality be a quicker car due to the more modern chassis being more exploitable and being able to get on the throttle quicker with more predictable output levels when exiting corners.
  15. What's an IPDM? /nub_question
  16. No, you don't understand: You asked him for his details and he ignored you and drove off. Get the photos on the PC, right click and select properties. Far right tab IIRC, the time and date and loads of other stuff will be on there.
  17. There will be timestamps on the EXIF data on the photo when you took it with the phone. Also you did ask him for details and he simply ignored you and drove off, remember?
  18. OhmygodIdidn'trealisetheydidCarbonLorrainepadsfortheZedWANTWANTWANTWANT Once these PF ones are gone, I'll be trying these bad boys. Coming from a VXR as well, I know just how good those pads are.

Any chance you measure the volume at 3/4 rpm 45 deg and 0.5m from the tip please?
  21. Why buy a car and not drive it? Don't worry about the next owner, enjoy it for yourself
  22. I had an SLS pass me in a petrol station in Belgium last month, and the old chap driving was good enough to give it some beans as I stood there next to it, much to the displeasure of his wife! It's the first Merc for years that I'd give a testicle to own.
  23. Personally I can't stand either the 458 or the MP4-12C: The Ferrari looks over fussy (although functional) and the McLaren looks like Generic Supercar Drawn By 8 Year Old. I've no doubt they're both amazing to drive, and I'd prefer the Ferrari as I'm an NA over FI man (even if the flat plane crank does sound like a bag of nails), but neither of them really interest me at all. Now the AMG SLS on the other hand... Beautiful looks and a soundtrack to match. DO WANT
