  1. When I was looking into getting some 20 front 25 rear seemed to be the best choice. I didn't go ahead in the end as it seemed to be so unpopular with insurance companies. If you are looking to get some it might be worth checking with your insurers first.
  2. Wow, it will be interesting to hear her 'justification'. As a teacher you would assume a certain moral standard, after all she is shaping the minds of the new generation. I wonder if she really is a teacher and how this impacts our thoughts on who is actually committing these acts where the society gap is, if there is. Or perhaps she's just mental.
  3. Things like this really show the gaps in society, we are society so in a non-buck passing sentiment what are people doing on here to help these people that they are so outraged with? Would people give up say another 25% of their wage to go into programmes to fund counselling, training, jobs for these groups? Would people give up detached housing for large, controlled estates where everyone lives and interacts together? Would people give up 1 day a week to work with groups to create community? I know its likely I wouldn't. I like having a big house on its own and I seek people out when I want to. We should all look inside before looking out. Maybe thats too hippy I can't see mass arrests after this, the prisons are too full. I totally agree there needs to be tougher repercussions for people caught but you also have to be careful not to take away any hope (by stopping benefits or labelling them scum) as why would 'they' bother trying to improve. I don't have any answers, its alarming how such a large percentage of 'our society' is capable of such violence, how we meet it and how we move forward is indeed a tough one that more people should think about.
  4. Ha! Exactly what I was thinking. Welcome Seamy! Nice pics as always...

    350z Spoiler

Hmm all I can think about it MR2 now lol. Looks okay but at that price I'd be worried about quality and sagging. I'm considering I think its a V2 or something with a carbon flat for about £265 unpainted. Its £310 delivered and this one I like: linky
  6. Trouble is with the E46 M3 they are getting old, mileage is creeping up and so you're in a high cost probability phase on the car unless you can get a real low mileage minter. I'm a huge BMW fan, had loads of them and given you'll spend 15k+ on a mint e46 I'd say chuck a few extra grand in and go 135. I never bothered looking at a 130 knowing the 135 was available, they can be had for 18k+ now. the 335 is supposed to be a superb car as well for the money. I've always wanted an e46 and nearly jumped in a few times but just so many stories over high costs. I'm lucky, in Swansea there is a superb BMW specialist and I see this as a must with the cars as main dealer are £££. As for swapping 130 for a zed. Hmm, the interior on the 1 series coupe's is nice, if a little bland. Quality sure, better than the zed but no real feeling, they lost it since the old angled dash. felt quite cramped inside too (but I'm a big lump). No way I'd swap a 135 for a zed, but 130...maybe..depends what you want in a car!
  7. The jag is fun, I had a go in one at a palmersports day but no way I'd have it over some of the others, felt very heavy on the track. I also drove a porsche 911, not sure which variant but handled most like the zed so I found it a lot of fun as I was more confident in it.
  8. We had Nick Knowles at my swansea refinery a few weeks ago filming from someone (BBC maybe). They left my office in a right state as i said they could use it. I was travelling at the time so missed it but apparantly they are doing up some house in the area and our refinery was involved in building much of the surrounding town so they wanted to see our museum (i cannot spell that word!) and discuss our history.
  9. Would you be allowed to sell them as 'lego' guns - I thought Lego name was trademarked. also, I wonder how easy it is to replicate with plans off the internet (and if they are not on there, they likely would be pretty soon). Interesting idea tho! I adored lego as a kid, but no way I'd spend £200 on it - BUT, people do spend a fortune on models (and the bikini kind), boats etc so who knows, just look at those crazy magazine build offers - they work out at £400-£500!
  10. Beautiful zed, good luck with sale! I love that kit, not too overstated and really works the the lines of the car.
  11. I know someone who bought one of these and sold it two weeks later - cost a stupid amount to run.
  12. 6 days to go and I wouldn't mind betting they cancel the auction if it doesn't get a good price.
  13. I will see if the seller does this version for the facelift Bumper. Sweet, clear or black is good, hate the orange. Thank you.
  14. Damn these look sweet, but I have a 57 plate.
  15. Hmmmm, I've been tempted to get these for a while...I take it everything I need to fit is included and MAF sensors etc will fit? If so...I may be in touch! Are these JWT? They claim no loss in BHP, but I'm not worried about that, I always fit these to my cars for the awesome noise.
  16. First dibs when pics up!!!!!! Im assuming it includes heat shield (or maybe not at this price) and if not is that something I can buy seperatly? It seems to be the key to not losing performance: JWT PGHR7-DUAL0 Dual Pop-Charger Intake System 07+ Infiniti G37 "2007+ G35(HR)/G37 Dual Pop-Charger Intake System In 2007 Nissan drastically improved the VQ35 intake system by adding an extra throttle, so the question was, is there any room for improvement? After a full year of testing JWT got the answer, "YES", but only with the most efficient Pop-Charger Venturi inlets and hood-sealed heat shields. In addition to a 6.5 to10 WHP improvement, the tone of the engine due to the dual 6†venturis is definitely the most beautiful sound ever heard from a VQ engine! "
  17. Yeh thats the one lol, cheeky feckers.
  18. YG04 - silver 350z on Road Wars. Can't believe the cop was dissing the zed!! Question is..are you a member?
  19. PH is a terrible site to value your car...it free to list for a month so a lot of people list with speculative prices. I tend to value using autotrader/ph/completed items search on ebay then average it. I find I get the most responses from ebay when selling and PH usually just gets me swap requests.
  20. My parents are doing a btl now, they are signing an agreement with a private housing association for a 3 year rental agreement. My parents get paid even if the property is empty and they got pretty much market rental rate. I've not seen the T&Cs and I'd certainly want some clauses like 6 month notice but from how they've described it it suits them perfectly (they are happy to tie up second property for 3 years). Food for thought. We're having legal issues with our property which is delaying us selling so I'm considering renting the lot out and getting somewhere else as we have about 20% LTV atm.
  21. I ordered brembo pads from ebay - it looked like that seller (tho I'm not 100%). 2 days later he told me they were out of stock. Got some from GMF for about £26 and they are fine. It was only for the rear and i don't track her.
  22. It took me months to sell my 330, I tried PH, Autotrader and Ebay. PH is a must, its free but I only had offers of swaps off it. Autotrader - if you do this go through quidco as you might get 25% off - but...0 interest. Ebay I had the most interest and is where I sold it. Try a classified listing for 30 days at 9950, if you don't get any interest then perhaps relist as an auction and drop the price. Stunning car though, but very restricted market. As its so highly modified I don't know if it would be worth putting in some of the cars mags maybe. Good luck!
  23. Welcome! I bought both my zeds and my last BMW without test drive - actually my last zed was 200+ miles away so I bought it without even viewing, at at nearly 14k that was scary! Makes life interesting I think.
  24. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case, I'm sure I read something in the highway code that its illegal to flash people. I always just wait and let them decide if they want to come out after seeing someone do it and get smashed to pieces by someone not checking lane next to them. To add, I can't see her taking responsibility as its the first think the insurers warn you not to do. They'll take her statement, which will include you flashing the car in front, and decide from there. EDIT: Checking this reference to the highway code, you're both in the wrong! The current Highway Code is clear and unambiguous about the use of flashing headlights; Rule 110 states: 'Flashing headlights. Only flash your headlights to let other road users know that you are there. Do not flash your headlights to convey any other message or intimidate other road users.' Rule 111 adds: 'Never assume that flashing headlights is a signal inviting you to proceed. Use your own judgement and proceed carefully.' The rules quoted above are a development of a basic principle which has been in the Highway Code from the early days. The 1946 Highway Code (rule 36) stated: 'Do not rely on signals to proceed given by unauthorised persons' (although, ironically, it also contained the 'I am ready to be overtaken' arm signal!).
  25. Front or rear or all? If rear, I just ordered standard replacements from GMF, cost about £26 i think without checking. I'd be tempted for better on the front. My local garage fitted for £22.50 so it wasn't worth my time messing about! I have brembo's.
