  1. Sensible choice. I adore my zed, only had it since Jan (my second) but she may have to go soon. We're selling up and looking for a farm and everything we've seen doesn't really suit the zed.
  2. Hey its a lovely car, but its 8 years old and there are a lot of zeds for sale. Just look at this one http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p If it goes to an enthusiast who appreciates the extras then you might get 8k+, and I hope you do but its a buyers market.
  3. I'd say prob 7.5k, maybe 7. Might want to think about selling the front bumper, looks a little odd with no skirts or rear spats, might put people off. Good luck with sale, lovely clean looking car.
  4. SOU down to 4.9, sorely tempted now, anyone else? Or will this re-trace keep going? I bought 10k shares at 4.87 so I hope it goes up, not looking for quick turnaround tho, just spreading my portfolio a bit. Related - Stockplus doesn't work on win 7 and the new gadget offering is dire. What do people use to monitor their portfolio from the desktop? I've just downloaded StockTicker but it won't get through corporate firewall.
  5. I don't notice a difference in power, but on the occasion when I was stuck for Super and had to fill up with a small amount of unleaded I noticed it impacted on MPG quite significantly. I can get 28-29mpg on my average week's commute on super, but the regular unleaded got me down around 22-23mpg...I wasn't driving any differently. 25% more mpg for what is often only 10% more cost?? The figures speak for themselves, hence why I always fill up with super! Myth busted, on my car anyway. Filled her up with teco super (99) and she might be a bit livelier but its not helping the mpg, still getting 22 at best. I've reset and I've tried to keep my driving style the same. Shame. I'll give it another couple of days if the petrol lasts that long!
  6. Yup mine straight swap as well. A little clip you press underneath the old ones then they kind of rotate out. Lift the plastic cover on the new ones, slot in, pull back, job done. About 1 minutes work! Tried them in light rain, I can actually see properly now!
  7. Just fitted a set as my old ones were terrible, seem to be pretty good for the money. Shame to lose the wind deflector on the old ones but I guess not needed with these.

The figures speak for themselves, hence why I always fill up with super! Interesting, I'm getting 22mpg out of my 313, I'll go back to super on the next refill and will advise of the difference. My driving for the zed is nearly always just to work and back, I don't take her anywhere else so I should be able to easily see a difference if there is one. I think the next fill up is Monday.
  9. Take the offer! Its an 03 model in silver, and although in stunning condition you'll need luck/time to get 9k. Petrol prices and the general economy are hitting these cars hard. I'm selling my BMW 330 54plate for a similar price, everyone says its lovely but noone parts with the cash!

    Clear front reflectors

Thanks anyway Rog. linky this is the look I was going for. They look 'good quality' so I'm guessing OEM. I dont' think you're being stuffy at all Sarah, thank you for the info.

    Clear front reflectors

I don't mind paying for quality...but they are plastic reflectors so how much can the quality differ?! Its a genuine question as I'm sure I had similar ones on my push-bikes growing up and the whole bike didn't cost that!
  12. Odd, I thought the tescos standard for instance actually has more additivies in...I'm sure there was an article somewhere on it, I'll try and dig it out. I think it mentioned running with standard every now and then to clean it out a bit. Anyway, I run my 313GT on standard petrol from tescos and she runs fine. I've only owned her 2 months tho but my previous BMW 330 I ran on super unleaded and whenever I changed to standard I didn't see a difference so with the GT I started with standard. Perhaps I should run her on super for a while. I ran my old JDM 2005 zed on super and whenever I switched to standard didn't see a difference.

    Clear front reflectors

Actually, yours and the orange ones do look very nice lit up. I have a midnight blue so I'm just looking for the white/clear plastic type as the orange look odd.
  14. I think they look a little odd as they stick out, you should saw a bit of your lights to get them flush.. I do however love your front splitter - what is it? It doesn't look carbon, is it painted?

    Clear front reflectors

Hmm I can't find the clear indicators now for £38, similar to these for more tho linky1 link2 these are the LED ones (which I don't want). If £40 is the going rate for clear reflectors is right then so be it, seems pricey tho and us welsh are tight!
  16. I've seen some on ebay for £38 - this seems excessive for two little bits of plastic. Is this the going rate or does anyone have a set going for less? I'm looking for the ones that are built into the bumper and look white. I've seen LED ones for the same price, but they seem really tacky. Its for a facelift 57 model.
  17. My BMW 330CI sport coupe is still for sale, I've not really advertised it much but she needs to go, I need to change brakes on her and the mirrors just stopped working but I'd let her go for 8.5k as is. Does 28mpg on average with mixed driving. She's cheaper to run than the zed, marginally. For those stating change to diesel, you'll probably find for the little mileage you are doing its not actually that financially sound. You'll pay a premium for a decent sporty diesel. Something else to factor in, why get rid of a car you know for something unknown if you're concerned about finances. You'll be bored with any of the options mentioned over a zed (the ford is 0-60 in 6.7 seconds, it will seem very slow after yours!). Anything you get you'll likely try to drive it like you did the zed, so its not going to be that economical. Once you factor in depreciation, its only a good idea if you're getting a much cheaper car or a much more economical car - and for the options you're listing thats not your priority.
  18. As an indicator, my 57 313gt was about that price, maybe £13500 with delivery and is immaculate, FSH, 1 owner, 33k. With your description I'd walk away.
  19. I've previously owned a 2005 zed, recently bought a 57 plate 313GT. Its seems like a totally different car, my old zed (which my bro has and I still love) didn't look as nice from some angles but the new one with the facelift bonnet it looks stunning from all angles. The new one sounds different to the old one - it roars with an almost aston martin rumble (its standard). The gearing seems better and its a lot faster (according to my bro when he tried it). The interior as mentioned is a little better as well. My last zed had altered camber on the rear so it handled very well - the new one seems as good if not better, the electronics have already helped me out once in the ice. Its lower by 15mm. Conclusion, I loved my old zed, I absolutely adore my new zed.
  20. Wow - are they that bad??! I looked at those before buying the zed, lovely looking cars.
  21. Looking at the map properly, i think either victoria to euston then northen straight down..or change at leicester. You could also just walk straight to euston depending which side of KC you are, they are about 20mins apart on foot IIRC
  22. actually you may have to do picadilly first then northern. I spend about a week a month in london and when the tubes are running its a fantastic service.
  23. Northern line all the way, simples.
  24. I don't have a manroom... But I do have a mancabin! I think its around 30ft by 18ft, I built it last year from a kit. Houses my full size snooker table and Marcy Smith machine. Got power, lights, TV (not wired to sky yet). Unfortunately I've fecked my arm, possible disc trapping nerve in neck so I can neither train or play snooker, possibly for quite some time
  25. I've always loved these cars from the first time I saw one at the motor show. Nearly bought one a few times over the years but the terrible reputation for handling always swayed me.
