  1. Nice - and yet another MR2 and Rex owner too - joining the clan
  2. Not quite the same but I can see where Chrysler pinched a lot of their styling from inside ! Inside of mine is so big I could probably wire up a full set of B&Q kitchen spots to shine onto the dash! Chavtastic!
  3. So am I mate - (note obsessive waxing behaviour when I had the zed!! ) You need to be a perfectionist in your job anyway to thats handy
  4. You get wind noise and whistling! Eat less beans and make sure you at least whistle a nice tune while your at it!
  5. Rich not sure we have given him what he wants unless he wants to be known as a Bell-end (on t'internet amongst other things ) I dont think anybody really cares either way do they - we certainly dont - just reveals some people's behaviour as p** poor
  6. Not sure where you mean? Is there not a faom strip between glass and dash - if not the windscreen has probably been replaced at some time maybe? (I only know as this happend to my Pathfinder!) Re: rattles - all the cables are very well tied up - see my thread in interior on removing radio and centre console - you will see some pics from behind the plastic? Hope this helps?
  7. to the forum - hey with 38 cars you definitely need to update my memory land thread with your past cars - dont need to upload any pictures if you dont want to but would be nice viewtopic.php?f=21&t=24144&hilit=memory+lane
  8. Husky you worry too much mate - I'm sure its easy enough to take the door cards off and run a cable through - someone has bound to have done this before on the Zed - if you cant use the current cable connector then just run a cable through the door using gromits and of course a suitable cable sleeve. Reminds me of my early motoring days all this stuff
  9. How????? Which reflectors or puddle lights? Puddle lights are just bulbs in the door bottoms my Rex had them in the base of the wing mirrors. Great idea although everyone laughs when you tell them! Re: reflectors why not pop them out and drill a small hole halfway from inside to fit a red high power LED for example then pop the reflector back in - can't be too difficult really? Same for the puddle lights just use White LEDS they are small enough to conseal in the base of the door or card? ahh its always simple your problem then comes from powering them Well not really mate they are just LEDs run them off the interior light circuit - can't take that much power can it?

  18. its the other way round mate - they were copies from Yank cars of the 40's - the Volvo P444 you mean - very similar Stew I doubt there were many bobbing around the roads but you would be surprised what can turn up if you look hard enough?
  19. Hi folks I know this is an odd request probably on the wrong forum but there are a number of Polish Zed members who maybe able to advise? For those who have no idea what they are - its a Polish built classic Garbus (fastback) from the 50s right up to 1973, it was the first Polish peoples car really post war based on the Russian Pobieda - do a wiki pedia for other info. I remember these as a kid on holiday in Poland in the 70's and always loved the shape - which probably got me into classics and fastback cars I suppose? One day I would love to own one still but in the meantime if by some quirk of fate there happens to be one in the UK - would love to see it? I've web surfed of course and they appear to be scarce in Poland also - just like they have been forgotten about but just wondered if anyone knows someone who has someone (Poland is not fully web enabled yet people still find stuff out by word of mouth - so you never know?) (ok you can laugh now! ) Thanks

  23. to the forum mate - a 370 pioneer sorry cant answer the ipod question but please post up some pictures of the zed
  24. I understand where your going with this but it's always been this way? Victorians loved those artefacts from history the Post war generation loved Victorian stuff. People in the 50's though wanted to look forward ( just like during the Art Deco period) but when we look at 50's stuff we think it's really olde worlde and love to collect it! So it goes on now everyone is making a fuss about 80's stuff yet again! I remember the first home computers and still have my Vic 20 but I don't see it as something precious but then there has been a shift in Technology from the handmade egyptian artefacts to mass produced stuff fro the 50's to virtual products of today such as software and firmware? People will remember specific leaps in technology and have fond memories of them hence this is the collectables market - someone crap is another persons dream but like you I have no interest with computer games never have even though IT is my job.
