good grief by the title of this thread I thought we were going 1970's retro with vinyl roofs!
-
Choptop I was going to do the same looking at importing one also but had a Figaro instead for a while. I know they rounded its arse off a bit but overall its not too bad - however I liked the earlier no nonsense interior Early type Interior

Which bucket Colin - I've still got your wash bucket - have you pinched Junes bucket!
-
Keep looking they are hard to find but no impossible. My best spot was a mid blue manual with 40k miles on the clock was very tempted to buy it however the g37 will probably be my next car.
-
Nice one mate I had considered them too before I got the 300C . I see a silver one on a 03 plate once in a while locally and love the look of it. Make sure you post plenty of pictures when your ready

Class Cute little rascal- vid is funny! I am sure I kept my home made drag racers somewhere - have to rummage in the loft! You do realise you will need to buy more every year now! Where's the 350Z drift car anyway? -
You see I like the look of it. They do a supercharger???
-
Nice one mate that's where I part-exd for my 300c. Really chuffed like a brand new car for mondeo money. Well hope to see you at the May run then
-
I'm not so sure Porker service is that much better I have heard enough stories from bods to tell me otherwise an Audi is particularly poor! I do think Nissan are pricing themselves out and peeing on their own shoes. As I mentioned yesterday you need to see it for yourself in the flesh they have even matched the bumper paint really well so someone must be listening. I would seriously consider the roadster in the future as a second hand purchase. If it goes as well as Colin says then smiles all round. I am not sure Nissan will leave it as long to change the 370 as they did the 350 so it's probably a stopgap car is my feeling.

Nice one mate hope you get your smalls washed soon
-
Yes indeed they dithered for a few years if they would sell here an so put a slightly nicer interior in when all they needed was a better engine and tighter suspension that's it and keep the price reasonable. Well I like the original and I like this one but subject to a test drive maybe Lucys future city car although she wants it full on Tokyo modded in black, tints, lowered nice alloys and chromed up They should do a postman pat version and maybe an A Team version

The problem with this is the bl@@@y bini!! Nissan decided to try and go all arty farty with it. Like the new Beetle both these cars were supposed to be cheap run abouts obviuosly beetle continuing the family line but instead the marketing bids and accountants got greedy put the price up and made it something it is not. Remember this is a 90's design - this one has been tarted up however if it sold for £6.5k and they left the outside bit squarer like the orginal but made the inside a bit brighter they would sell like hot cakes. They are something a bit different. At the stealers they had 2 and everyone was looking at them an inside them. I don't know what colours inside they do for the other external colours but i was dissapointed with the dark inside colour. It looked well made but as it's a Nissan Note floorpan you just know they have reached into the boing parts bin

Yes mate glass roof on this spec like the Fiat 500 personally I don't them prefer metal there not glass. Yes Husky where did you steal the company design bluprint from Markey just get to a stealer and have a peep. I am concerned it will wallow like a barge but I am sure you can lower them easily enough? The diesel engine is supposed to gave more poke than the petrol but that doesn't come out until summer I think?

Always loved the 350 and always will. Wouldn't have bought it otherwise. I nicknamed mine JLo... you can imagine why But large rears aside, there's just something not right with the 370 for me. I think the lines are all wrong. The front doesn't seem to flow to the back very well. If you cover the front of the car including the door, it looks like the back is tipped forward somehow. (had a few beers now so my judgement may be clouded ) Whereas I think the 350 has it's lines and curves in the right places. Anyway... that's just my opinion and I'm just hoping I don't miss my 350 too much when I'm hammering up the side of a mountain in the G37. If I could have kept both I would have! Cheers! Hey you got the G37 convertible in the end? How come we have not seen pictures of it? This is potentially my next car any info from a real world owner would be great maybe a new thread on it would be very appreciated -
Fun filled weekend excursion - we went to see the 370 roadster and Cube at Westway Nissan Oldham and Rochdale. I know the Cube is not for everyone but we liked the old one so wanted to see what this new one was like. We liked it and subject to a test drive would probably buy one. This particular one had a dark interior which was a bit dull but otherwise well made and shock - bumper paint match superb!!! Its the same Storm White as Colins 370z (nice choice) and looked ace but played havoc with the cameras exposure as did the indoor lighting so excuse the colour in some pictures. Here is Ania resting after taking all the pictures for the shoot Lovely big freezer door opens wide and lots of space in the back. It felt very van like inside. But why have a reversing camera I have no idea!! Cube actually looks better in the flesh than in photos. Forgot to look at the water drop ceiling but never mind. Inside is very spacious although Lucy thought the gearlever was something out of a Lorry it was that hard to move! Dont go for the stupid optional decals you can have put on , like the Bini - fine if your 12 years old but come on ! Its a very practical, very different, interesting city car/ people carrier, however it does need spacers and lowering - tints and chrome bling with a nice set of alloys! Good alternative to the usual boring offerings from everyone else and that Kia Soul looks pants! Oldham is'nt quite trendy Tokyo but for 20 mins today it was Thanks to Westway Nissan for letting me take pictures etc for the club

Since we could'nt make the Thursday prelaunch to see the 370 roadster and Cube (hot on the heels of Shire's thread) we popped into Westway Oldham today. No 370z anywhere to be seen but a couple of Cubes (is that a Rectangle!) The coupe was out on a test drive and the roadster was at the Rochdale branch - so we bobbed over there later to see it. I will do a seperate thread for the Cube - I dont want your broadband to melt with the number of pictures! The coupe we saw at Oldham when it turned up - quite like it in black actually- cant see fangs so much There is my Shark amongst the Minnoes! So then the 370Z roadster at Westway Rochdale in all its glory. Originally I liked this colour blue but having seen it close up I dont - if nothing else it will date quicker than Katie Price! So much fuss over this little object! To be fair it does look like they ran out of money at this point and made it from Airfix parts! Its best side in my view Here's looking at you Fang! (Sorry Colin) This is more fussy than the control deck of the Star ship Enterprise! Interior is much higher quality feel than the 350 but you still see familiar parts and mouldings they kept over. I had the drivers seat right back and there was'nt much leg room to spare ! The seats did feel a bit cramped - they grab your bum of course but a bit too well. Luggage space no where near as big as mine but not too far off and yes Colin I peeked underneath - no Scissor jack just a wheel brace - the air compressor is huge btw! The windsheild is perspex and cheapo looking - my old one was glass We did'nt arrange a test drive, fortunately, as we both would have one tomorrow if money was no object! Yes there I have said it I loved it - still not 100% on all the design aspects but not enough to put me off. One thing I would'nt do though is pay the £36K this one was up for sale for! Madness!

to the forum Dave - wow you have my old baby so did you find the club card i left behind the passenger compartment then? Good to know its still around and back in the club although a little sad at the same time re: roof I never had any issues with it although I did notice the day I part ex'd it there is a velcro strap that sometimes catches on the way down - just undo it and pull it back a little further that should sort it. Btw it has about 15 layers of wax on it Blackfire midnight sun - best stuff I've ever used (thanks to Stews advice) Hey get a picture up............ here is one to start you off If you need any past info about it please PM me happy to advise - did you buy it from Hamish per chance? Get yourself on to the Wales club run if you can in May - be good to meet up and see the old tub again Hope you enjoy it as much as I have PS I will buy it back off you in 10 years time for £300
-
I know webget these threads once in a while so inwill just do a short version of my normal reply - Wonderphone everytime forget about everyone else with one who cares what others have it's what you like! Had mine since November now and love it. Btw Stew you dark horse you got one then Bet it was that demo at my house on the fartin' furiuos fart piano that sold it to ya eh?

Nice one Chris blimey you don't hang around looking forward to so e pictures of it when you get it
-
Oh dear they always go when you new them the most hope you get your replacement soon. Drive belts are easy to do but then you have to replace the bushes on the motor then valves then pipes - after 15 years think you got your moneys worth get a Bosch one from Debenhams online like me - absolutely made up with it so far in fact I enjoy using it , quiet, well made, quick, easy to use and it even tells you when it's going to finish. It's also Beavis proof delivered on time no damages always good service from Debenhams.

That is hideous. What were they thinking? oh come on its not the end of the world is it - your not going to NOT buy a car because of the aerial! I know Marts game he is thinking how am I going to fit one of my Huge rear spoilers on top of the boot if that aerial mount is in the way! -
