doh sorry bad stressful day at work . I go on forum to chill but must have needed to chill more I guess ! I suppose we expect a high standard from top gear yes it was amusing but its coming across as fake and self indulgent these days ! As far as classics are concerned I get very passionate about them so when I see spoilt brats trying to show off I just get a bit wound up as plenty of classic fans would love to be given that opportunity I know its just telly bum fluff anyway - merry xmas

yes your right - one thing we can depend on dont buy any new car built in 2008 from about August onwards - the so called build quality will be deffo rubbish! Especially Jags, Vauxhalls, Astons and Bentleys after the current climate subsides! poor sods!

think your right there matey - but spanking a 350z ???? whats all that about then? I think the 370Z will be one of those - love it or hate it cars - so far I really dont like it and will stick with my 350 until I cant afford to fuel it but sometimes things backfire - remember when the new MX5 came out - bit of an initial yippee turned to well actually they should have lowered it, given it more power and changed the front so it does'nt look like a bathtub? Infact prices of the older model have held on quite well, while new ones have dropped ?

Well toyota build is generally top spec and the Lexus build is better than a Merc - (mind you a Renault Traffic van is better quality than a Merc these days!!) so if Nissan can fix the quality issue not just the parts but the paint and fitting they will be laughing - just think thats Mr Datsun to you ......... Maybe they should just bring back Datsun but with 1 inch thick paint to cover their ar**s!!

your right - a cardboard box has better interior fitments than a Zed!

2 things - go to your local car parts place - you can buy stick on chrome badges or worse case try Halfrauds - otherwise - why not sand them down with say 600 grade wet and dry and paint the badge same colour as your car or I dunno a contrasting colour?! just an idea

your totally right mate - its still Nissan with its shoddy build! - personally I would never buy a beemer anyway could'nt live with myself - if I end up with one of those I will just have to lie down and accept I have become a corporate kno*! which I NEVER will be so I'd rather the infinity and beyond jobbie - but dont buy brand new wait 6 months and get it for the price of an old fiesta!! its all good advice - and if you dont like the dealer or their attitude I would personally walk away! Went from one muppet who treated me like s*** to another place that gave me an excellent part ex and purchase deal and great after sales service - RRG in altrincham (toyota though - I almost called them to source me a Zed when I was looking)!

Think the car market will tumble a little but I dont think as much as everything makes out it will ? Zed prices for 08 have fallen yes - got a flyer form Westway Nissan selling 80 model GT spec coupe's for £22K - I recon you could get them a bit cheaper - I'd be more interested in Aston prices to be honest! he he he Heard that local Rangerover delaer near Burnley has knocked £20K off the price of their Rangerovers! Overpriced anyway but thats a big chunk of cash!

Same here guys if I decided that I simply must have more space and be people friendly ie carry more than 1 passenger I would consider it - best thing would be no one whould have the foggiest what the hell kind of car/badge it is! +1 The James Martin exploit in the Mille Miglia that followed was a damn sight more interesting even though he broke down on the first leg James Martin is just a spoilt brat who was able to throw hundreds of thousands of pounds at the event and still blew it. I struggled to have any sympathy despite the tears. No disagreement with you there Digsy about the spoit brat - but at least we got to see some decent cars rather than clapped out mopeds with 3 pi$$ed off presenters making idiots of themselves. Absolutely. I thought his Maser was gorgeous and possibly the sexiest car there for me. +1 - too right gents - he really came across as a spoilt brat! I've been a Classic car owner and fan for years so to see something like that in the hands of someone who as I see it wants to show off and does'nt really appreciate what he has is just a waste! We would all love to have those cars in our garage - I dont know about you lot but I loved cars from a kid also and still do, unfortunately the only one I have in my garage is a 1971 Beetle I got for £300 but I love it and know every single nut and bolt on it and what to do when it goes wrong! Cant figure why he was in an Italian car erm in an Italian race in erm Italy! But he is phoning UK to get a part for his Italian car! What a donkey and he left it till the next morning to do this - if it was me I'd be up all bleeding night trying my hardest to source or fix the thing! If I spent 10K on a race (never mind the money on the car) I would want to enjoy it - even if you borrow a hire car to finish the route! Further more I would make sure I at least knew how it worked and at least how to change a spark plug! If I was his girlfriend I would dump him - talk about p*** off factor - oh luv I cant take you with me I am taking this blonde driving chick instead - she never even had a go the damn thing! phew got that off my chest - some people eh more money than sense!

Oi Chris !! Noo!! cheeky rascal! I never had one just an MR2 roadster - bit more serious than an MX5 - just borrowed a mates to see what they were like! the new one is too heavy and too tall - bit like a Z4 you sit on it not in it!! he he he ..... happy with my 350 hairzed thanks very much!!

Hi Matey thanks for the offer matey - only just seen this - been off the site for a bit- busy getting house ready for inlaws etc over Christmas. its not the axle. The Zed is parked up till I can get a spare weekend in Jan - its deffo the handbrake mechanism somewhere as it only clicks when I apply handbrake - bit like a clip has come away or something??? Got a new set of rear pads a while back they need changing anyway so will do them and hopefully check the inner hub also - lets hope I dont need a puller to get the hub off! Of course will do a photo journal incase anyone else needs to see the innards of a Zed's hub (how exciting eh!)

Aye you can get one of those or even get a free laptop with your mobile provider these days! Some broadband companies also offer free laptops with their broadband - but avoid the deadly AOL for example! try PC world - average price of a reasonable laptop is £300ish now - frightening how cheap they can be! avoid all the sales pitch on all the games/multimedia - you just need to the best pc you can afford - most memory and hard drive space - core 2 duo processor from Intel. If you get last years model then they are even cheaper - there's not much you can do to a laptop until the next major release of whizzy processor comes along so its a bit of bling and snazzy software to dazzel the punters!

Cool review matey however - personally (scarred for life after bad Audi episode a few years ago) I actually prefer the look of the original - this new one just looks too corporate and in line with the rest of the range I did however find 1 thing I would have on it that the Zed needs - the petrol flap does look much better! But you can get those chav stick on ones that every Vauxhall Corsa in the land has now so erm maybe not - he he he keep Zedding!
