  1. Oh no - sorry to hear about that mate - I was going to suggest MER polish with a rag its worked for me in the past untill you said you had a hole in the pumper!! Hope you get it sorted soon and at least its still lined up properly so thats something?
  2. Nice pics there matey - this forum is turning into a boat and Aberdeen car park fest! Here is my workplace - can you spot me!
  3. Been discussed before - people get so hot under the collar about it? Read the bottom of my signature I use the cheapest petrol thats conveniently available to me - I hate Tesco with a passion so avoid them anyway, Shell is my fave and I do notice a smoother run but I never buy fancy high octane stuff as I have never noticed that much difference in it and cant justify the cost with the 700 miles per week I do! On the other hand Sainsburys seem to have good petrol also? Did'nt the super markets have contaminated petrol down south last year then there was a shortage of sender units going pop? Only time I ever noticed a hugh wallop in power difference when I was driving home late one night in the MR2 roadster and tired I put TOTAL high octane stuff in by mistake - the damn thing nearly took off on the slip road !
  4. These are the best - if its this kind of tap you have? However dont buy cheapo poundshop ones - as the plastic is'nt strong enough in the thread !! Make sure you wrap an old towel around it so if it does start to leak it does'nt all over your fancy kithen! Hope this helps - Hoselock is the best otherwise B&Q own brand - just a couple of quid!
  5. Zed or Dino (from the numberplate) or midlife crisis by my neighbours no doubt!!
  6. Yeah congrats Chris nice one matey!
  7. No they must have forgotten to send me the invite!
  8. Chris he's probably deciding how many drugs he can fit in the sills - obviously knowing how bad the Nissan panel fit is!! Sorry mate I'm sure it will be fine - if he was Polish he would be wondering if he could build you a reasonably priced garage (I am probably the only person on this forum who can get away with saying that!! )
  9. West bound M56 tonight around 5pmish: 1x Sunset coupe 1x Black coupe 1x GM coupe 1x Red coupe
  10. Eva Longoria, Marmite and Vaseline. I'm sure I had a dream like that once.... Did'nt take long did it ! I dunno lowering the tone as opposed to the sail on this thread! T13AAM - to the forum The Scots really are taking over
  11. Eek - blimey everyone is on Glam jobs except me... No boats in my job but I do ensure that you lot keep your smalls clean and food on the table amongst other stuff! IT system admin for a global manufacturer - keeping the factories working! Amongst other things you may have heard of some of this stuff

  13. Thanks Stew, I was thinking of eating soon Oh you haven't seen what I've seen Martin....... Thanks Stew! But nobody is seeing those horrible pics! My early recycling attempts - jeans I just recycled into shorts well before people had heard of recycling and hugged trees ! I was tricked by the cunning application of Desperados beer (V nice btw) fool that I am!!!!
  14. With such a selection of random letters and numbers it must be good Blimey think there is enough tech there to power a monkey to the moon! GEEKS! Chris just dazzle em with the gear on your boat?! Just throw acronyms at them with a nautical twist? How is the boat btw?
  15. This was my first idea, however ive been advised it takes a few layers to do it properly and 5 days to dry, i cant have the car outside for 5 days!!! thanks for the advice tho m8 To be fair I painted it the day before I moved into this place - it was just 24 hours - quicker if you put a heater in there - the cement soaks up the paint fairly quickly and well even though mine was a rush job in bad weather and no heating its still going strong after 4 years? Good luck with it - other option is a self levelling compound expoxy floor leveller you use to seal and level flooring prior to gluing wood flooring over hard floors? Friend has used it - he says the finish is superb - but that will kill your lungs if anything will!!
  16. Costco do something for garage flooring but subject to how big your garage is dont bother - just get some PVA glue - mix with some warm water and seal the floor ( I guess its concrete?) then go to Wicks and get some garage floor paint - they do other colours rather than red - and seal the floor with it - its good stuff but evil vapours off it so be carefull! When you want to jack up a car just put some ply down first to rest the jack on - its easy and cheap! Hope this helps?
  17. Especially depending upon what the couple were doing 'sat inside the car' Fortunately I think he was on the phone and she was just waiting for him to finish ....was'nt really looking and hello btw if your reading this and it was you in front of Harvey Nics!

T'was an early Valentines weekend and yes we did stay in the Glasshoose as a treat - girl on reception tried to charge me twice for the room though! 23. We both needed to escape this weekend so we booked our fave place last minute Sort of an early Valentines weekend. Watched the weather forcasts and took the chance to drive up in between the snow. We were lucky - sunny cold but dry, return trip was a different matter - 350Zed on a snow covered A road ......... Only time I have been glad to see a gritter! 6 hours to get home. Since there have been many Aberdeen Car Park pics recently here is mine - in the Martinmac style! (That fleece is so warm!) Nice clear skies and an odd Welsh Rugby fan ! Lots of fans and no trouble - more of a fuss on the cover of the Scotsman about Jeremy Clarksons remarks! Of course the locals had to take on the welsh fans! Can you spot them? We even spied a drifting Zed at Hamleys!
  24. SK52** GM coupe - Edinburgh centre S***** GM coupe - front of Harvey Nics FL07*** Ragtop - M6 southbound dunno colour - heavy snow
  25. I agree its down to a decent supplier who checks it by eye and not just rely on the computer to do the work - lets it dry on a stick then checks the match (as well as decent paint like ICI Standox for example - non of yer Autopaints international P*** water cheap supplier of the month paint!) Dave that looks a really good match think you will be chuffed with the result
