Thats the most feeble excuse to show off your holiday pics I've ever seen!! Nice pics btw - had a similar problem - with my Pentax - a blower doodar sorted it out. Also got a bit of fluff in the viewfinder which bugged me for ages but short of rebuilding the camera decided to shake it out of the way!

For people to use public transport its really very simple is'nt it: 1) Has to be reliable 2) Has to be clean 3) Has to be cheap 4) Has to be regular 5) Has to be safe 6) Has to be convenient 7) Has to be on time 8) Has to be operated by people who give a stuff! There you go easy!... If the Japs ,Dutch and French can do all this why cant we?

to the club I'm another former RX8 owner - a lot on this forum! Top looking machine that and in the right colour! Not many RX7 about but I do see an early boxy version on the M56 once in a while

coincidentally we were looking at these last week - the basic car is £10K ish - however if you want anything half decent the price shoots up to £16K!!! Ouch! Seen one in the flesh on Sunday ..hmmm not so sure now it looks like a fat dumpling - the rear just reminds me of a fiat Brava (I think?) still would'nt mind a go in one though!

Hav'nt France done this - they will give you so many Euros for your old banger no matter what condition as part ex against a new car (obviously be a French new car) Maybe they are not so dumb!

Scroats like that dont deserve human rights - cars one minute then what? Think most people including the Police hate the way the legal system is today and politicians are too scared to pass policy that gives decent folks a chance live a normal life where they wont be scared to give evidence against scum and punishment is what it means - yes get them working - get them repairing the infrastucture of this country - the roads, the paths , cleaning up the waterways, that sort of thing - I know this is a bit 1930's but come on what right should someone have if they ruin someone elses property or life in some way? Then we have to pay into the state which takes a portion of that money away from healthcare and pensions into the Prison system. I am guessing its not such a holiday in Prison but at the same time is it not better to use these people in a more positive and beneficial way than be sat in a room /building improving their skills at robbery etc ! On the other side of the coin - I think a lot of crime starts at an early age - a lot of good kids with their life ahead of them getting on the wrong side of the tracks, we need to focus on why this is happening yet again goverments dont send the time and money! There are a lot of volunteers that give up their free time to help these kids and hopefully try to stop them getting into harder crimes but we have to accept that some just wont change and those have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. I will step off my soap box now. Sorry for going on a bit I just get wound up with the selfish attitude from some elements of the community!!

Yikes Lexx feel for you mate! Have you been on Metro link trams in Mankchester!! Last couple of times I have had the misfortune to go on them late on a Friday along with the great unwashed p***heads! Will never forget that Mank meet with Stew and Drewbie - just as well I had protected myself against the germs by the cunning use of Boddingtons beer on the return journey but for f***s sake it was scary! Private 350Z transport system for me everytime - even the van is superior for goodness sakes!

As much as I dont like them an old VW Polo - they go on for ever - brakes are not the best but best compromise really! But you HAVE to stay with Jap stuff - old Toyota Corolla or Mazda 323, rock solid go on for ever and cheap to run !

Dan - plenty of info on here - its just a matter of how much money you want to spend and what colour/model you want! Probably the best time to buy one now or wait till the 370Z comes when I guess subject to the press it gets - 350's will be even cheaper!

Glad the forum is keeping me focused! Shed load of work to get through gonna be a late one getting home - may have to drop the roof to keep awake! Club fleece will keep me warm! Amongst all the doom in the news about cut backs etc - they have frozen our salaries, cut back on overtime and to cap it - some projects pratt gave us death by powerpoint presentation last week all 20 slides of it about a project to remove old unwanted servers and how much money it will save the company, how they are leading green IT and saving the planet!! How can a global company that uses caustic chemicals be seen as green!! Worse bit is how enthusiastic this guy was about his presentation - hey were cutting back on equipement and streamlining our factories and offices - hmm no need to read between the lines on that one I guess!! If nothing else I did learn 1 thing - supermarkets don't want you to buy their own brand stuff as they make more money on branded products!! We dont make stuff for anyone else as they worry it will dilue our brands (no pun intended!) Anyway sorry for the rant just trying to keep awake!
