  1. to the club Nice Zed Does everyone work for the Oil business in Scotland! Well everyone who owns a zed on this forum anyway!
  2. Aye lad but that applies to s lot of places i think. We had a blonde ladee checking her hair in the rearview mirror with hand on mobile in her range on M60 this weekend weaving across lanes and up my rear end. Number plate was Ha55hum in case you spot her probably in a ditch now!
  3. Sorry folks working that weekend so will be in wales just not where the fun is ... will have to send virtual cakes...
  4. Yes it has a special place in my heart (of my bottom)! Mind you local drivers in Manchester as always trying to get ahead of the trendies in the South have developed worse behaviour! I blame the credit crunch - muppets saving on usage of indicator and headlamp bulbs and not pressing the brake pedal for a red traffic light in an attempt to make their brake pads last longer!
  5. Marts got the right idea! When I used to drive through London a lot a years ago in my brand new MR2 I presumed the worst ie. they are all muppets and amasingly I was right!! You wont assume a plank in an X5 in the right hand lane at lights might want to go left across you and another car in the central lane - but lo - so it came to pass - I held back when the lights changed and yikes he bleedin cut across us and turned left! Another weird thing is the I MUST PARK park in the first available space in a multistory by the entrance and cause a 2 mile tailback while they try! Why? just drive up the next level where there are no cars and find a nice spot for yourself! Simple innit ! Rant over .......
  6. Just looked at that Peroxide link Beavis - technically I have to say that the ahem cleaning products that my company manufactures has more than just basic cleaners like that one -they spend millions in research etc etc etc! Personally I like the old Victorian solutions which do use these basic materials - like washing soda (Sodium Hydroxde?), Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate), Linseed oil for sealing and cleaning tiles for example - all those old cheap products work so really there's no need for fancy purple coloured products in whizzy squirty bottles with people shouting at you from the telly! But I will try my car cleaners on the door trim first!
  7. He'll end up with a blonde door card! Jokes about blondes .. my locks are not long enough Beavis and my hairdrier has up !!
  8. Thanks for the advice gents will have a go this week
  9. Thanks Colin Interesting not heard of that - probably an acid based or strong alkaline solution like they use to cleanup PVC windows??
  10. So I cant use washing soda then! I hate using any silicon based dash cleaners or polishes as they eventually ruin the surface material - I have some Autogylm interior cleaner and Mer cleaner - may try each one and see how I go but silicon is a dog to remove I think especially as the door trim is that textured effect doodar!
  11. Accidentally squirted some Turtle Wax Wet 'n black tyre dressing on my door trim! Its silicon based stuff and has left little marks - even though I tried to rub it off soon as it happened! Anyway of removing it without taking a layer of trim off also - its the revised interior remember i.e soft as chocolate! Thanks
  12. Nice report there Mike I agree I think it would look better in a darker colour but it still does'nt do anything for me I'm afraid - that electric blue colour is still the best so far? Every time I see that centre console with the radio I keep thinking new Xtrail!! Those lights and fangs still spoil it! But...... wait to see one in the flesh
  13. Mike and Becs can dazzle them with their tales of Hoons at Bandcamp!
  14. Class! .........there was this one time at Band camp!
  15. to the forum its serviced every 9000 miles - pretty solid engine and the 313 model makes a fab noise especially! Damn almost forgot myself - - some pics of the car please - unless you already posted that one up ?
  16. Takes me back to my college days! Dave you have too much time on your hands...... Maplins was my second home then.....
  17. Booked my car in for its 36K service - decided to try them instead of my other dealers after recomendation from Mike (M13YKF) Well what a pleasant surprise! The staff are courteous, friendly and know their stuff. I mentioned I was in the 350Z club and they offered me a discount straight away. I got my P1 service £150 incl Vat They returned the car with no extra dints scratches or spilt oil anywhere. Drivers seat was not moved (pet hate) or if it was it was back as it was. Even though the car was'nt washed (under my request) no gruby marks anywhere not even on the wheels - usually its black finger prints over the alloys! At 36K it should be a P3 service but my last service was a P3 by the previous dealer so I only needed a P1 . The cost of the oil was £31 incl the discount so unless you want your own special oil is it worth taking your own oil at that price? I think they are a smaller independent dealers who also do Subaru and MG as well as Nissan and hence I think they keep the staff probably longer than a big national chain - therefore customer service and return visits is paramount - in my book I will use them from now on and not look back - its good to keep these places going otherwise they end up being swallowed up by the big nationals and well we know what they are like! Highly recommended folks at last a decent Nissan dealer - they are based in Audenshaw - North Manchester. Mention the club when booking. Hopefully your experience will be as good as mine was! 18. I think I have a load of those 'dont park so f***ing close!' fliers somewhere - a slightly ruder version not with Mr Mouse on it - see if I can dig them out - get them photocopied and bring a load to the Wales meet - if I remember! These muppets just dont give a stuff about anyone else!
  19. Mint Temper Orange (yet another rare one!) coupe on the roundabout then M66 - private plate G**9 Temper Orange Zeds seem to be located in the North West - usually see another coupe and a roadster also locally!
  20. Another story of scroats - Just as well your brother is ok at the end of the day Scum bags everywhere! My mate got rid of his Scubby after their house got broken into the other year and decided not to get any 'nice' cars anymore - its not worth the worry is it!
  21. In the present climate more than other everyone is charging for every little thing - to claw some money back - admin fees are just a con! Like the so called 3 days to clear a cheque (even though its direct electronic transfer game!!) Bartenders the lot of em!
