  1. OMG just realised Sarnie can post us the count as it changes on the front page in here, a blow by blow whoring you might say.
  2. Welcome, Guys already said it re. lights, but if you are replacing anyway then maybe worth considering as I think the older ones are surprising candle like for a car of this type. Enjoy the car !
  3. Very Politically incorrect PCness. This is just so wrong on every account and level but thought I'd put it here for comments if anyone wishes, it arrived this morning from a Scot who is currently in Oz. In deference to The Archbishop of Canterbury and The Royal Commission for Political Correctness, it was announced today that the local climate in the UK should no longer be referred to as 'English Weather.' Rather than offend a sizable portion of the population, it will now be referred to as 'Muslim Weather.' In other words - partly Su nni, but mostly Shi'ite
  4. Sarnie can't spot the difference, its too subtle that is why he sticks to yello or orange these days
  5. That was speedy, hope you insisted new owner comes on here as part of the deal, well done.
  6. bloody typical that, any need to explain bingo card again

    RX 8 buying

Sounds like he's made a few of the right choices already for RX-8s. There are a few limited editions around from the various years mostly the changes were to paint and trim but pro-drive one firmed up suspension along with a few other mods, I would suggest that although it is quite desirable as a basic un-modded model the suspension would not be family suitable. Oil reserve is much smaller than most cars as part of the desire to keep that bonnet line low in the design, this is why when oil is used it is more noticeable than other cars, so checking it regularly is a must, I think the oil usage is a little higher though, worth checking the oil and filler to check for overheating signs. Private sellers are having a real difficulty so if you can find an enthusiast then you'd be in for a bargain time. I've noticed some dealers are selling some pre-registered ones at very keen prices so well worth a shop around them, not your area but Bristol had one up last week that surprised me (next to Lotus dealership before anyone asks). Well finished as Stanski says, I think the dash finish is very good, Bose stereo good other one is complete pants, boot good enough to be practical and the ride is quite smooth so ok for passengers, knee room in back is cramped so if his family is long legged they will notice.
  8. Welcome, Enjoy the forum as well as the car
  9. Wrong area for me but check out any boat or canoe repairers locally, if they can't they'll know someone who can.
  10. Good write up, sounds like you enjoyed it even the moments are ok now for you as nothing happened, sorry for your mate though, at least it is only money even if quite a bit of it. Guess you are still grinning
  11. Hope they've not added to your swirls. I've had micras and notes both with huge stickers on them so people know they aren't yours but they think you have one in for service anyway, you just can't win on that one (unless of course you have a Lexus as a courtesy car).
  12. Going to be controversial for some
  13. Welcome, Enjoy looking for your next car. btw - its function is for strengthening.
  14. Welcome, You are into true electrical specialist territory is my guess and therefore beyond me. Could be BCM but I'd try and rule out a few other things first with a electrical specialist, sounds quite a bit of water to do that. Pop up a post of intro in the appropriate section and I suspect a few others will be along before too long who may be able to shed some light on this one.

    JDM Allstars

Great car, in the wrong country while that event is on, story of my life that one. 3.8 sounds a sizeable re-bore ! been wondering and reading if that makes much difference on its own and it appears not to but the rest of what they've done is truly impressive.
  16. It should be covered called something imaginative like "cover wiper arm", don't know part number and can't find it quickly, unlikely dealer will have it in stock but should be able to get it quickly enough, can't imagine it will be expensive but then I wouldn't be surprised if it is a stock part that is the same as others, just don't know. Maybe pm one of the traders on here see home page or check out the usual ones mentioned.
  17. Welcome, all the best with the big decisions in life
  18. Welcome, Looks a good example and great a forum member could help you out
  19. Could easily be something as apparently small as that. Bluetooth is still a power user for its range, the newer items like wibree that have been incorporated into Bluetooth standard should reduce that usage over time.
  20. All prices are a bit depressed a the moment so you may be lucky, you just never know. If importing check the various comments around it may lead you to places where others have had better experiences.
