  1. Welcome Rob. Take a few 350's for a test drive, you'll know if it's right for you or not.
  2. Not sure the balance of the black centre console etc looks right, but can appreciate the work. Haha, maybe trying to mask the pungent smell of the all of that leather.
  3. I learned a long time ago, to keep a wary eye on people working on any car I've had. Check things over before you leave.
  4. Thought the zed was limited to 155mph? Most of the 350's I've seen posted for top stock speeds in the USA, seem to top out at 155 or 156mph. Don't know if that helps.
  5. Hmm, all the 16 + mine I've driven sit around 13 - 15.
  6. I reckon you're right, or at least you would hope so. Maybe they've been used for some promotional track work too. Just a thought. Or as the others say dealers drive.
  7. Also overall the 07 as whole car it's self, is heavier, marginally longer, oh best bit it has a dipstick that you can get a decent reading off. Newer models, more HP, but less torque than older models. Both the older and newer models have their good and bad points. Happy shopping when the time is right.
  8. CongratZ on the Solar Orange. In the UK, is that what's called a GT 350?? You get used to the extra attention driving an orange car. Lol.
  9. CongratZ Kinch. Now we need details my friend, year, spec, manual/tiptronic, colour, oooh and not to be forgotten photos. Gosh we're so demanding. Now get out there and enjoy that Zed!!!
  10. If I'm reading this right, my 2 cents worth. One of my friends has an pre-loved 2003 Jap import 350. When he purchased it had tyres that had a different rolling radius than stock rolling radius, quite a bit different, and totally wrong size on the front. This used to send his TCS/VDC absolutely nutty on a very regular basis, especially overtaking and cornering, not the most desirable times at all. Hopefully this little cautionary tale has helped.
  11. Hmm, kind of left centre, but in my last Nissan Spec R-S15, when the car battery started to get a bit low, the alarm started acting up on a regular basis, was sweet after new battery. Long shot, but you never know. Sorry I only just recalled this. Presuming the UK spec 350's are the same, what is your volt gauge/pod showing??
  12. That would be the epitome of idiot tax.
  13. Hehe, now we're all completely confused. Lol, I purchased my Z brand spanking new, so not technically what we call an import in NZ. The pre-loved Jap imports in NZ, didn't come equipped with a Bose soundZ. Moving right along though.
  14. Welcome M333KS D, lots of information here to help you to. Happy shopping. Have you taken one or a few for a test drive yet??? 1000000% agree with this!!!! Totally off topic, but xStric9x, you say you had driveshafts replaced, do you mean driveshaft or the axle assemblies??? If driveshaft or axle assemblies why where they replaced?? Had my driveshaft replaced, and I've just pawned out a big lump of dosh to replace one of the axle assemblies. Oh and M333KS D, don't let this scare you off. Cars are just components that can be replaced easily.

    They've arrived!

That's got to suck. Might not handle very well on 3. Good luck in pursuit of the 4th.
  16. Do you mean your chassis number?? If so, on all the pre-loved Jap import ones I've seen is in the same place, as is the Kiwi ones, stamped on a silver plate left side, back of engine bay. Also centre back behind the engine at the top. (Mind you this might because of our laws in NZ). Or if you mean your actual engine number, there is heavy numbering on the left top.
  17. Taken from the Kiwiland Owners Manual, page 1-23 & 1-24 Adjusting or setting time: 1. Turn the audio unit on. 2. Keep pressing the DISP (clock) button (A = 2nd left button) until the clock display starts to flash. 3. Press the SEEK/TRACK button ( (up arrow left & up arrow on far right buttons) to adjust the hour. Press the TUNE button © (up/down arrows far right buttons) to adjust the minute. Pressing the (left up arrow or up arrow right) side will advance the time and the (left down arrow or right down arrow side will turn back the time. 4. Press the DISP button (A = 2nd left button) to finish the adjustment. Resetting: During the clock adjustment mode, pressing the DISP & TUNE buttons will reset the time to the time signal. Don't know if that will help. The picy in the manual is a bit tiny to be any good scanned.
  18. Hmm, what flavour of tyres are you guys riding on??
  19. With our strong sun in NZ, this is a common problem. I use a microfibre or very soft car cleaning towel very gently work on the "blocked" area, making sure to work into the natural grooves of the leather with Meguiar's Leather Cleaner. Then I leave it for a little while until it looks totally dry, then with another microfibre or very gentle cleaning towel apply the Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Conditioner. Seats in my Z still look very good. Most people are surprised for an 04 how well the seats still look. Good luck, and happy cleaning. ps. Perhaps a seat cover might be a good idea for those summer days, then the sun tan lotion won't be a problem. I made out of spa sized black bath towels, seat covers, drawing in the top to fit around the head rest with very wide elastic. Works really well, quickly sling on the cover when you're grubby with sunblock or you've been training or grubby mechanics in the car (because the covers they use are usually gross).
  20. If Tere is along, she's had this problem with her 350. Had a fix for it.

    The Gallardo

Very nice car, but then those rims, oooh, hot!!
  22. At least he's okay. That's the main thing. Cross fingers and toes he doesn't get battlescars or busted ankles. It just burns when you have a gorgeous bike you can't ride anymore.
  23. Similar pictures have been bandied around on my350z & 350z-tech a bit. Interest, even though it's not confirmed, that the eyelids that a lot put on their 350's in the US have been incorporated into these picys.
  24. Looks great Paul. CongratZ. The rims are really cool. Almost make the arches look more poppy.
