  1. Its really easy mate - i found that the heat shield bracket needed a slight bend to fit, but apart from that its a piece of pi$$ to fit
  2. What a @*!#! - in the immortal words of Chubby Checker:- "its a very hard life, when you got no wife, and the man next door's got two! If you need to get away Mitch - I'm off to the Red Sea Riviera in a couple of weeks
  3. Dont worry, my first ones were delayed as well, and went on okay - just dont leave it too long (certainly not 2 weeks! lol)
  4. and for those that have recently purchased, make sure you fit them within 48hrs of receiving, as they are treated with a chemical prior to dispatch to allow them to stretch. A friend of mine waited two weeks before fitting and he had a nightmare stretching around contours (even though applying heat did help)!!
  5. Lol I just watched that on 5 and was thinking the exact same thing! Hopefully these ones are okay though and not like the black paint used on that lads car! Funny that..was going to say the same thing. Just watched Interceptor on Five. Like I said earlier, FlyEye kit is road legal and meets MOT standards etc - its all about the amount of light that passes through and as you can see from my night pics they are pretty good. These arent traditional film or paint tints!
  6. Thanks for sorting out my LED reflector Chris (an LED and capacitor needed replacing) - got it back in the post this morning
  7. I have a fat-a$$ JDM bumper - no toe-eye (or at least on toe-eye cover on the bumber)
  8. I'm still waiting for for bits to arrive, so in the meantime I thought I would have a play with Centrafuse. Had a play with skins - its actually a lot easier than I thought... Here is CF3 normal skin Here is a skin called Aqua which I modified with the Zed logo: (the green circle around the logo indicated I have internet access ) I have also download some open source Front End software called 'Ride Runner' (formally known as Road Runner) - it is very configurable, and being open source its free! I will post pics of it when I have had a proper play. I cant wait to get all this installed in the car now
  9. As part of my CarPC project, I will be fitting a reversing camera but not sure the best place to hide it. Has anyone got a rear cam installed? Can you please post pics/recommendations please. Thanks David
  10. As much as I hate the thought or having to do it, I think you are right, I need to create a new line from the battery with inline fuses - I'm just not looking forward to running through the firewall Current draw will be small, its only an Atom processor in the PC - current draw should be low enough to be in-sleep mode all the time its not in use, without having to shut down the PC - hence I need an 'always live' feed. The screen with be on a different circuit, and will only come on with ignition etc.
  11. Holdcrofts (if its the same company) are a Nissan Dealer in Stoke-on-Trent
  12. Does anyone know if there is an 'always live' circuit in either the boot or the cabin, or will I have to take one from the battery through the firewall into the cabin? (I need for CarPC build) Thanks, David
  13. Remote start is certainly possible and something I am looking into at the moment. The obvious benefits of would be warming up the car on a cold day, or even cooling a car down on a hot day. I will post more as I look into it
  14. Yep - I am going to do the bumper lights as well (Indicators)
  15. U Irish Tart! lol - I love you 2
  16. There is no need to remove lights - I removed rears because it was easy - I didn't remove fronts - honestly it is a peace of **** to do - see this guide http://www.flyeyeskit.co.uk/index.php?p=video David
  17. http://www.flyeyeskit.co.uk/ They do many different tints/colours email Jason - nice guy and very helpful: flyeyes@sky.com After speaking to Jason, a group buy may me available - subject to interest
  18. I did the fronts this afternoon - I am really happy with the results... at night.... with full beam... and lights off... I guess its a 'marmite thing' - I can see that some regard this as a bit chavvy - but I think it looks CLASS!
  19. Windows 7 Pro FREE (Microsoft Gold Partner status) PS I would be happy to build this for anyone else that was interested, at cost price of course on the first one, you'll see that it's not covered to install it on a PC for home use in a car on the second one I'll hold you to that! My operating system is legit! but there are many ways of not paying for this! Anders, if you can tare yourself away from your potato farm and come down south I will gladly make one for you
  20. To be honest, the existing drive is good enough - it is fast (7,200rpm) and has shock proof technology - I have tested - see pic of my son, he is shaking this vigorously and I am watching an MP4 and there was no problems...
