  1. No worries mate! That option may be easier for the wheel painters to do too!! Easier to mask!

    oil price

    Where you going? Its usually included with Nissan and some wont use oil you provide if thats what your thinking. If you give them a call they will tell you and you can ask if they will let you use your own oil!
  3. Actually the first one on the 2nd lot with the pin stripe on the front wheel dosnt look too bad!
  4. All black Or just the bit behind the rims leaving the polished rim (not the best chop but not that easy to do!!) Quite hard to do gloss too!

    Q;

    Just did a bit of reverse searching, checked the EBC site for the 350z non brembo part number and then did a search for the part number. In the section that says "known to fit other cars" it was the 350z or the Skyline V35 (350GT!) little suprised as you would have thought it was a stock item fitted to a few cars... Still think its strange how the pads arnt interchangable between models, you would have thought that the base calipers would have been used on another car... Same as you would have thought Brembo would have just made one caliper that was fitted to porsche, Nissan, etc etc and you just had one size of pad... Just the brackets would be different! Oh well, keeps us all confused I suppose!
  6. Leave the centres and paint the rim black!! Phantom Styleeee!! I think matt black / matt dark grey... Would get the handles done at the same time!!

    Q;

    At a guess one of the Silvias or the Skylines?
  8. Isnt it to do with the fitting of them as there is no way to fit the topmounts or something... hard enough to get to the rebound adjust on the rears let alone set the toe and camber as you need to reach it from the top... And there is no way to get to it!
  9. Very true! Drop it on coils and there is enough movement on the stock stuff to get it driveable until you see if you need arms... Also, Ian will confirm, Cusco are a great bit of kit, but dont get the one with the pillowball top mount option that they do (its supposed to help with the toe and camber) as the Zeds dont like them... Cant remember why though!
  10. A-Arms are for the front and control the toe and camber on the Zed Few options on here http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Part:Front_Control_Arms Then on the back you got 2 arms (there may be 3 but just trying to find the name of the other one!), Toe and Camber (also known as Trailing Rod and Control Rod!) When you drop the car on coils everything pushs out like /-\ (if you lift it, it would go \-/) so you need a camber arm that has the ability to lenghten but still have the same strenght. The same way that the toe will also push in like /-\ (Top view) so the toe arm will do the same! If you get bad toe then it feels like you are driving a tractor and its hard to keep on the road as you have very little tyre on the tarmac... Lots more info here http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Category:Suspension What you will have to watch when you lower it is the arch rub so some camber may be needed to sort and tuck the wheel in. Mine now sits with the wheels like the porka, but thats a result of the suspension being set up right and at the right rebound and the height being set right. When you do hammer it into a bend you still get a bit of rub but noting like what it was! If your swapping out then I would go with coils, as the zeds are getting older you may find that you change the springs and then soon after you need to change the dampers... The dampers control the rebound and help the spring... Whilst your looking you should also look to get some decent Anti Roll Bars... Will help to keep it nice and tight
  11. Would drive it hard from stationary mean "launching it off the line" ?
  12. Buster, IIRC Rik was making these up from a mould from the US. Your prob best to get one of the ones that comes out of the original mould I would have thought...
  13. I could offer you my Abbeyu taxi service!! Get to redhill by train and I can give you a lift over!! Its on the same line as Gatwick, just a few stops before. Nice whp numbers. will drive well... Guess thats without the laughing Gas?
  14. What time you collecting? I may be there as I need to drop some stuff off!
  15. Hmmm.... Think you need to take that in to get checked out mate. Code reader should tell all very quickly and nissan shouldnt charge you... Just make a note of the codes... Dont try and do an ECU reset... Strange for the Airbag and the EM to come on...
  16. Dan had a few "popped" at a show last year and they did them for a bargain price... Gets right on my Thrupnees though... Happended to me the other day at a golf club and I was standing right next to the car putting my clubs in the boot. She pulled in, parked close and opened the door, stuck her leg out and realised she couldnt get her wide a$$ out of the car so pushed the door open into my car... claimed the wind had blown it... looked at the chip and said wont it just polish out as she flicked it with her nail.... Said I.... Phone number and details please.... Pi55er when you havnt seen it happen though and hard to prove!
  17. Nice! Same initials and same colour car! Nice

  19. Yeh not bad, was expecting around £100 but there we go!! Got to get on with putting the next lot of Marks big clearout on now!
  20. Really? I could have sworn the commontaters used the words "Amazing", "Brilliant" etc when they were talking about the free kicks and raving how well Japan were doing as they never get anywhere in competitions outside of the Asian stuff! Am slightly biast, but I think the commontators on the Beeb have done a great job and have shown tonnes of enthusaism when commentating on any of the games.... Far better team out there than ITV... I know it was an england game yesterday but Lawro and Guy did a great job... I had some very nervous texts at 1/2 time!! A decent cross yesterday was received by a flailing mongo's shin, not even his boot, and landed in the net. I've heard his life story about 3 times today and seen the re-run another 40 times. Would they do that for goals deserving of it? naaaah Still got us through to the last 16 though didnt it!! Shin or not!!

    help!!

    Loads of options mate outside of the 3 you mentioned, but you may get stuck on the 10 rears, you also probalby want to go for 10.5 Rear and 9.5 Front... Offsets should be around +22 but you can run spacers but your best to try and get the right offset as wider spacers can ruin the ride and handeling. Basically first off, what style are you looking for and what colour? And whats your budget as this will cut it down a bit!
  22. Like you didnt know!!!! Dan's JDM cars are better is gathering pace Nice LED work mate!

  24. Your best bet is my350z.com and look in their I.C.E section... Lots of ideas in there with install pics!
  25. Guessing this for the install your trying to do? So the measurement needs to include the rear strut and also the "bulkhead" that holds the rear speakers or do you want the size without the speakers? The size just about fits a golf carry / Stand bag so your looking at an internal gap of about 20"
