  1. Just saw you said Summit Braces... you wont see a difference on stock suspension and you may up with more negatives than positives. The stock suspension was set up for the stock car, if you change the stiffness of the chassis you may cause the car to drive differently... I think alex has some nismo suspension and nismo antiroll bars up for grabs. Would suit your nismo car!!
  2. Uprated ARB's are deffo worth it, makes the car feel much tighter and much improved steering and handeling. Do that first before you go to the coilovers. You will need them anyway if you go to coils...
  3. I've been looking at their web site today and their work looks outstanding. I assume you had to send your lights over to the US for them to do them for you? That must have cost a bit! You can do it with UK lights and it may work out better. I bought a CC set used for the US, they were sent back to Mike @ CC first so he could reposition them, but when they got here I needed to do some repositioning of the wires in the plug as they dont have self levelers in the US. Was quite easy in the end and mike talked me through the whole process. Pretty cool as he didnt charge anything for the refurb of the used ones that he had created in the first place. They do however come up for sale sometimes on my350z! Oh and helimeddez, nice repost

  5. Ones I did for another members car, Would look good in Bronze but you need to match the badge and handles! One of the silver colours are easier to link in! And this is what happens when you lower it!!
  6. Couldnt have wished for better weather on a March track day, chill in the air to keep the cars cool and breathing lots of fresh air! Nice bit of sunshine too! Yeh, I think Wizard had a GoPro in his car so as soon as he posts them will add them up! Wish I had a camera just for the Seat Cupra cup car and the Buddy Club Teg!! Great bits of Kit, but Steves car was running really well and great setup by Abbey (Final Drive swap is now a must if I stay N/A!!) Pax laps were great!

  8. Wiggly tube on the top is a JDM part and fits to the top of the plenum. Something to do with cooling IIRC One on the bottom can be used as part of a right hand engine oil trap with a catch can in the middle. Just remove the pipe off the bottom of the Z-Tube and follow it too the end of the pipe, remove and refit with a catch can and additional pipes!!
  9. Sounds promising then. They don't do a bespoke kit for the zed, as far as I could see. I've emailed them but haven't heard anything back yet. Can't imagine it would be too difficult to piece the bits together myself though. If you speak to Mr Steve he has a Mocal on his. Just wish my Nismo one was a mod you could see!! least I know its doing some good to the engine!!
  10. 30% tint (ie 70% light in) on the front and sides... Front and sides are tinted 30% OEM (had this tested by a policeman but the side of the road and they tested at 33%... his volvo tested at 36% IIRC!) So if you tint the front and sides your illegal. Also dont think i matters or the rules were any different 5 years ago! One of the friendly boys in blue that frequent this site should be able to confirm. You can go as black as you want on the rear side and back windows...
  11. Did you have a look in the sockets where the sparkplugs go and was there any oil? If there is then you you may find the gaskets have gone (quite common) and you need them replacing. You may also want to get it compression tested. But as I did mention on a past post, you need to get it too someone that can hook it up to a CONSULT or someother type of engin checking system and see if its throwing up any errors that are not showing up on the dash. There are all sorts of things that can pull timing on the engine thus reducing power. Sparks may help but unless you get it checked you wont know..

  13. Not that far away, but you could go to Abbey. Bout 40 mins from brighton and can do loan cars. Also, as they use Nissan parts and nissan qualified service agents, they can stap your book and I think it can still be said its got a full Nissan Service history.

  16. The welds arnt stainless so this is where the "rust" is coming from. Also dependent on the grade of stainess used then there can be issues. It does seem to tarnish lots compared to others, but propper cleaning should help. To clean you could try gunk or any of the other engine bay cleaners, but dont do it on a hot exhaust!! Also carb or brake cleaner will bring it back up again. Just looking to see if I can find anything to wax or coat it! Wheel wax may work as its formulated for wheels that do get warmer than the body panels!
  17. Yeh, not all show (really dont know why!) but they will retard the engine in some ways. Weird one cause if you dont have a light how do ou know there is an issue!! Yeh 3rd gear will have been contributory (sp!) but still showing low, saw on the other site it ran out at 79mph, thought 3rd ran out more at about 85/87 and 4th runs out at about 98. There was a listing somewhere, but cant remember if that was rolling in a certain gear or from dead stop going up through the gears!
  18. How many runs did they do? Most zeds need at least 6 to 7 runs to show full power. Did they hook up to the ECU? Not all CEL's show on the dash so you could have been trowing an error.. Did you reset the ECU? From a few years of experience of dynos and mapping, not worth while unless you go somewhere that knows the Zed! And can do something about it if it is low on power!
  19. Very little as there is no velocity stack in the stock airbox (2002 to 2006) couple at the most!
  20. Ah World Famous Zed! Amazing bit of kit and loads of hard work and effort! Tony the guy that owns it, is a great bloke, had a few bits off him in the past. Pics dont do it justice! Well done for being different.

  24. Nismo puts the filters as a short ram, no heat sheilds so your gonna get a load of hot air around them when your stopped.. not good!, the Stillen puts them up front for the nice cold air in front of the rad. If I was looking I would have a good look at these. Am sure they put some info somewhere!
