  1. I take it the boats have unique id numbers like chassis numbers? Wouldn't have thought it would be easy to hide a high profile boat like that - obviously the world's bigger than I thought! Hope it gets recovered soon.
  2. Mine sometimes shows it's full, sometimes only 3/4 full. I always put about the same in, only ever been able to put £60 in about once (until recently when it costs £1.11 per litre ). Think it's to do with a dodgy fuel reader, that shows it's 3/4 full when it's actually full. I can comfortably go 50 miles when empty, and still can't put anywhere near 70 litres in. I now go by mileage covered, and fill up after about 200-250 miles
  3. I hope Jedward win cos X Factor will be fatally undermined and never be shown again
  4. Seen the pics now - looks very good. Impressed with your handywork
  5. I love 'the Bird is the Word' scene, it's hilarious Works computer won't let me get to youtube tho. . .
  6. I'll try your recipe when I get my mates round next month. Will let you know how it goes
  7. So you do 50/50 with the alcohol and coke? Might be why mine was so overpowering. It's a great drink, was a freebie on the cruise I went on a couple of years ago. I was immune to alcohol for ages afterwards
  8. Propbably not the best topic for a website for cars and driving, but I'm really struggling to make a long island iced tea. I keep trying to make it at home, and fail every time. Wondered if anyone had any insider tips, as it costs a fortune to get it wrong! I always mix equal measures of gin, triple sec, vodka, tequila and white rum. I then add either suger water or sweet and sour mix, and then a dash of coke. When I made it a bit ago, the taste of tequila was overpowering. So I took that out and then the taste of gin was overpowering. Eventually it'll just be coke Is it more complicated than just mixing the ingredients?
  9. Ninja cat rules Her cat, or 'our' cat as she has now decided, is more into psycological warfare than just violence. Even I felt sorry for him tho when he heard the fireworks. He got a carpet rash on his belly he was skulking around so low. . . Whilst we're on the 'off topic' of cat videos, I always loved this one And just to get on topic, I may use a cushion on my beanbag chair for Bungle to sit on, save the leather
  10. AArghh, my works computer won't let me see the pictures!!!
  11. You're not far off. He gets in between us when we're sleeping, and slowing pushes me out of bed. And I can't count the number of times I've been woken up by the missus pushing me, saying 'be careful, you're gonna roll on him.' He's got about 6 beds around the house, I only have one. Why does he have to steal mine! The missus has agreed that he can have a cat flap on the shed tho. He's a teenager now, time for him to be moving out into his own gaff - time for him to spread his wings. That's what I reckon anyway
  12. It's all about compromise. I'm allowing her to have cushions, and in return I'm getting a gaming beanbag in the living room http://images.play.com/covers/12090689x.jpg Will match the leather sofa, and has a handy corner to. . .but in turn I have to agree to let the cat sleep on it
  13. the tread is still open as IMO someone should have concluded the topic e.g. i found out decats are good or decats are bad or whatever. When I first joined I found alot of unfinished threads. quite annoying when you are trying to learn. TBH most threads just fall into bizarre off topic directions, so if someone tried to finish it, then they would be off topic I was confused to, thought BigPhil was back on the scene
  14. +1 with Nurrish's recommendation with Hed PE. They're a hip hop metal crossover, so you might like them. My missus hated metal and rock until she heard them, and now there's a few things she's got into. Also . Bit of heavy stuff and some singing bits too. Loving the 'Ten Thousand Fists' album by Disturbed atm. Got a great Phil Collins cover on it
  15. If you report this to the police, they would have a duty to investigate it, and shouldn't complain considering it's the police's job to investigate matters like this (not that all police agree with this). If the culprit didn't admit they were involved or that they caused the accident, then it would be hard to prove. You'd need CCTV showing it, or independant witnesses. After all it would be your word against his/hers, and no damage on their car to show it had been involved. You wouldn't get a crime number either as traffic matters like this are not a crime. All that's kinda irrelevant really as you only have 24 hours to report a road traffic collision to the police anyway.
  16. Just like the Mini you were following yesterday… Oh yeah, I did pip her. Forgot about that. Was only a friendly pip tho, not a sustained angry pip - you'd have thought she was trying to manouvre a bus!
  17. i love honking my horn at people who forget that green means go, or 4x4 drivers who try to bully out of junctions, or when i get dangerously cut up. Must just be the manchester traffic - or that i get annoyed easily. . .
  18. maybe the 07+ have louder horns. We'll have to see who's most horny at the next meet stan
  19. Went to see CS today for laser allignment, my belts changing and some quotes. The service was above and beyond what I expected, and I would highly recommend considering Mitz and Andy if you have any work needed. Both top blokes. The price for the allignment was less than half the price quoted elsewhere, and the quotes for other work I want doing are very reasonable I was amazed at how bad my allignment was. I knew it was a bit off as the tracking was rubbish and my steering wheel was on a wonk. My front wheels pointed to the kerb, and my rears the opposite direction. It was a wonder they could be put into acceptable tolerences. If anyone is interested, I can scan my printouts of before and after up? Not quite as fun as a dyno print I'm sure CS will continue to benefit the 350Z community for the foreseable future PS: CS, do I get a further 10% now for giving you a good write up

    Lipped discs...

am i the only one who laughed at the stupidity of that No I did too!! Is that a civic money saving idea Jerry? One thing on the discs (that is happening to me at the moment) is that the disc will start to get a little rough like sandpaper and this (I am told) will start to degredate the pads and wear them away quicker... Someone correct that if I am wrong!! Just looking around now to find the best deal on a set of pads and discs... May just replace the front pads and discs for now... I think he was talking about planning them (or planing them...pls forgive the migrant)...when they get overheated and the steering starts juddering... that removes the lip as well but i have never tried it and cant comment... I have seen front disks on a seat toledo 1.6 that had 3mm lip each side which is minus 6mm thickness and they were just fine... I'd rather just play it safe and buy new discs - not much else on the car to help you stop except the crumple zone
  21. Teasing my new horn! Maybe I shouldn't have pipped the horn, a longer sustained horn would have been more impressive
  22. Yeah..it took 25 hours for the local garage to fit a JDM engine into my UK 350z. They claim they had to change the brackets and bolts as JDM engine might have the sensors etc on different part of the engine I am sure some people could do it quicker on here though. I have a suspicion they might not know how a Zed engine works. Don't know how long it takes to fit but can't imagine it would be hard if you knew what you were doing. Plenty of people around whipping 350Z engines in and out. Bet ZMANALEX can do it quicker than that
  23. Right, I've edited my firt post and have used Supload.com instead of upload-mp3.com. Supload doesn't need a login so should work ok
  24. Leave it with me. Will post up when I think it's sorted.
  25. As you all know, the 350Z horn is pathetic. I bought some dual PIAA horns from CS, one 500hz and one 600hz, with 115db - lesser cars are more likely to move out of my way now Fitted today, and whilst not a 'train horn' like Stew wanted in another horn thread, they are a lot more noticeable and not as embarrassing to use. Edit using a different sound hoster I've recorded before and after sounds on my phone, and tried to upload them, using Supload.com. It links to the site, and it doesn't have a log in. Not sure how long it stays on their site for though. Before OEM 350Z Horn After PIAA 350Z Horn
