Do stone chips count if you have a particularly impressive one? Or even better a repaired stone chip that someone seemed to have done with tippex and silver pen?

I quite like primeval, like that the effects are crap. Like Doctor Who. Never get chance to watch it now tho.

It cost me over £500 to fit flywheel and clutch at TDI. They said the steel clutch hose took 2 hours to fit and bleed. They're good mechanics, and very helpful, but not familiar with the Zed. They quoted 3 - 5 hours to remove front bumper and put a clip around a leaky power steering hose. I did it in less than 2 hours, and I'm an idiot. Shouldn't have to pay for other people to learn how to work on the car.

Nice Like the news ones as well but the Evo 8's certainly have presence.

Did something similar yesterday, removed my dash and replaced it to find none of my dials or clocks work, they all just fell to the bottom. Hoping its just cos I haven't plugged it in right. . .

Oil change is a doddle, even I can do it. Would take it to a real mechanic if I wanted diff oil etc changing, plus get's a stamp in the old book.

Loads of stuff I wanted to get done, but time caught up with me and no room in the schedule now. Might get a tin of red Dulux and paint some racing stripes on the bonnet and doors, that'd be kinda unique

I take your point, and as i said its nowhere near as good as a paint job. 2k seems very cheap but the only reason i'm not painting it is for the resale and all the other probs attached. I'm not treating this as a long term option, maybe have it on for a year or two max then i'd be looking to change the car anyway. Waxing and polishing isnt really needed anymore, i'm sure a layer of wax cant do any harm. I've moved in to a flat now so car cleaning has become more difficult which was another factor that swayed me into it. What other probs attached to respray? I'm only asking out of interest, not criticising Sure there's benefits to both, and it seems very reasonable if you want to change colour on a more temporary basis. Would like to see the job in the flesh. Where abouts in Cheshire are you for when you get it done?

Looks good, and like the idea of it. However have been quoted £1500 for a respray if the paint work is in good condition, and less than £2k for repairing all the chips and dents. That's with me helping to strip the car and panels off such as bumper to save on labour. I just know if I had a plastic covering on my car I'd eventually start picking at it Where do you stand with polishing and waxing? Do you still have to?

Do you mean the one above the rear VRM plate, on the underside of the lip? There isn't one on the inside I don't think.

+1 on the above questions. Andlid got the Haltech Platinum fitted and tuned for £1500 I think (sorry if I'm wrong but that's the figure in my head). Would need to be a good tuner and a decent version of the Haltech for me personally. Never get 20 people tho. Esp considering a trader is promising to start re-flashing the stock ECU soon. . .
