TDI North recommend the AEM, it's what they're experienced with but they don't have a harness for the 350z, and I've read somewhere that the AEM isn't really appropriate for the Z. Personally, I'd rather take my car to somewhere that have already tuned a Zed with the same ECU that you are buying, saves paying for them to experience a learning curve with the kit and software.

Sounds like perfectly reasonable advice. If we all had Ron's attitude there'd be a lot more happy women around

Some good looking kit on the Fusion site, didn't know there'd be so much choice for marine audio products. Will do a bit of research and maybe buy some kit next month. Thanks for the help

No Martin, it has to be able to play CD's and don't even know what cassettes are Stew - I was hoping for something more around the £30 mark, I can get a full waterproof system for around £140 but wanted to test run it with a crap headunit first. Will give eBay a check tho, never know what you might turn up. Just thought someone on here would have some old one in their garage collecting dust that they might as well sell

It'll be mounted into wood, as I've only got one layer of material between the inside of the boat and the water. Gonna have to make a unit to put it in. Will have a go next month and update with pics. Thanks for the advice Rob

Do you not get problems if you have too many speakers wired to one headunit? Is it as simple as sticking the wires into the back of the metal box thing that holds the headunit?

I need a headunit for my boat, not anything fancy just wanting something that plays CD's and has something to plug my IPOD into. This is what I currently have: Need a direct replacement, but not wanting anything expensive as I can't be bothered removing it everytime I leave my boat and it could therefore get nicked, and it could be drenched in water at any time. I have a basic headunit on my boat, and one speaker, on the ?deck? (I think I can call it that). This is my current headunit, nothing special. I have a thread in the wanted for a new(er) one. This is my single lone speaker. I want to add 2 speakers to the system, and have them in the cabin. Just need a bit of advice on what I need to buy, or where to look to get guides to basic ICE installs. Don't want anything too loud, and don't need a subwoofer or anything chav, it's only a little river cruiser with a 9.9hp engine and 2 car batteries Cheers in advance/
