  5. Just got back from the garage, checked all the brake discs n pads everything seems fine with plenty of 'meat' left on them, they cleaned up the brakes and reseated the pads, seem a lot better now. Also had the brake fluid changed as i cant remember when that was last done If i'm still not happy then i'll look at the options in here from our various traders
  6. Just priced up some black diamond dics n pads all round, Just over £400 on average, so thats 2 votes for black diamond, anyone else ?
  7. Thanks for the replies, will see what actually needs replacing and what options the garage have
  8. Hi All, Z's going in tuesday to check pads n rotors all round, almost sure i will need rotors(discs) as they have been on the car for almost 9 years and dont feel as sharp as they should be had a search on here, which in turn gives loads of different options and opinions, can anyone recommend pads and rotors that wont break the bank but still a slight step up from OEM perhaps ? no track days, just spirited driving when the conditions allow Thanks in advance
  9. just a small update, i gave him the laptop back, phoned samsung went through all the basics that i had already tried, still no luck so they are picking it up within the next few days
  10. Thanks for all the suggestions, tried booting from various discs (linux/win7) but would not boot from either, tried all the F keys and only F2 did something (enter bios) and F10 which would only give the option to boot from the HD or enter the bios, fiddled with the few options that were in the bios to no avail. Safe mode by default is disabled in windows 8 hence the F8 didn't work, u need to enable it via msconfig first ( or so a google search reveals), guess microsoft thought their auto recovery would sort it all out. as the laptop was purchased this year they should really take it back to the shop they got it from Hate laptops, give me a bespoke tower PC any day
  11. A workmate as just dropped off his sons samsung windows 8 laptop that doesnt boot. power on all i get is a samsung logo (guess its instead of the windows 8 logo) a few seconds later the "circle of dots" icon appears, goes off after a few seconds then just a black screen, you can hear the HD repeatedly trying to accessing the same file/files (same sounds) over and over again. cant use F8 or Shift+8 as nothing works, plus i dont have a windows 8 disc to try the recovery mode. Any ideas ??? and no octet he doesn't want anything apple related

  13. One of today's tabloids said the iphone 5c will cost £69, no mention of contract lol guess the reporter didn't use google or common sense.
  14. The above is very misleading as they are the prices for a 2 year contract, so the 16gb 5s is $199 upfront + monthly fee for 2 years (depending on contract), just thought i'd point that out
  15. moved to the correct forum
  16. Close enough but next time included the date as well on the piece of paper
  17. Had my excellent cobra exhaust on since march 2012, noticed the other day one of the clamps that holds the tail pipe on was hanging off, on closer inspection it was a little rusty to say the least (see pics) Got in touch with the trader in here, who got in touch with cobra who quickly sent out 2 replacement clamps, which where different from the previous supplied ones, the new ones are "Mikalor 63-68mm W2 stainless steel" they can be found on ebay for a around £3 or less delivered. Don't know if cobra have upgraded their clamps since i had mine but it's worth checking. Excellent service by the trader and cobra, if only they had supplied better clamps in the first place.
  18. Not sure why it doesn't like the mobile version of the youtube link Anyone ???
