I don't find cockroaches appealing in the slightest ... but regarding vynils , in the right car with the right look, yes go ahead.... a big sticker on a standard looking car... a big sticker on something like a veilsided kitted car or generally ann ultra kitted car... Captain conservative , over and out...
  4. Zorst -> X-Zorst-> Exhaust I get it... now and it woudl make sense some lazy ozzy.. (sorry australian) would start this trend... I feel like a tonne of exhaust metal has finally been lifted of my shoulder and a ray of sunshine hits me with the the warmth of enlightment... I would like, therefore, that from now on we will promote the Queens English Grammar to be applied to all threads, and avoid the deterioration of this great language into a slanged, text type talk... PS: being half spanish I don't think my english is in any way correct and the grammar will leave something to be desired, but please bare with me...
  5. Hello all I have been in this forum for a while and it was in these forums that i first heard of the word Zorst, the same as pop-charger...referring to exhaust systems and air intake ducts... wikipedia does not have the answer either... Now, can someone shed some light where do these words come from? They are not automotive industry terms, and I guess it might be referring to a brand ( like hoovers are actually vaccumm cleaners...) and what does Zorst entail ? Just the RR Muffler? or the complete exhaust system?. I did not want to declare my ignorance in public, but everyone keeps talking of zorst, nismo zorsts, other zorsts and I finally cracked .... I NEED TO KNOW! ... what is the origin of this word!!! Please help a very traumatised individual...
  6. Welcome to a pretty cool club... hope you enjoy it as much as I am ...
  7. Those white parcels in the first picture... I am going to have a word with Ming... the exhaust looks A W E S O M E... very jealous...
  8. Is it educate Sarnie night or something? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dinger's_cat/ Cats and carpetbaggers? Today 350z-uk.com is brought to you by the letter C! Just teasing mate, its one of those esoteric bits of crap I know that serves no useful purpose in real life. Jesus, this is the first three lines of that link: Schrödinger's cat is a seemingly paradoxical thought experiment devised by Erwin Schrödinger that attempts to illustrate the incompleteness of an early interpretation of quantum mechanics when going from subatomic to macroscopic systems. WTF To put it in motorists laymans terms (very poorly for all you quantum guys); When your fuel warning light comes on you dont actually know when you are going to run out of petrol. You will either make it to the petrol station or you wont but you cannot know with any certainty if you will make it until you [drive there] (test it). Excellent... welcome to the mad'aus
  9. I have 1 RR (245/45 R18) tyre BS RE040 with around 5mm of tread... free to a good home if they come and collect from Bedford...or can meet half way if it is not too far...
  10. Nooooo My zed needs a few little paint repair jobs which are adding up nicely...and I am now currently waiting for a "tesco trolley special", or a Mrs Geri-Atric parking manouvre, to accumulate 2-3k worth of repairs and I could then justify it to myself having it re-sprayed... and going for the US look (no upper body kit and big wheels) But i don't want too many out there.... I think you look better in BLACK... trust me...
  11. I thought most major companies only give factual references and now don't give personal references due to the risk of being sued by the next employer if they where quoted as saying the "sun shines out of MR A.Non posterior with every job he does.." and then he turns out ot be a right waster in the next job... my company will only give a factual reference. Who i am , how long I worked, what position i held etc... no mention of awards, disputes etc...
  12. correct , you forgot to mention the little scribbled badge you get inside to say it is a special edition... White is, in my opinion the best colour for this car, it is a gorgeous pearlescent white...not a flat dull white... the interesting thing is that: Either Germany are re-spraying a batch of European-Bodied ZEDS... -Or they are getting a US body, in White, and trimmed to Euro Spec. (including suspensions, ECU etc...) I guess this explains the extra cost... How much did a full re-spray cost?????
  13. spotted this in a spanish zed forum... anyone seen or heard about this? It is a limited edition 350Z Racing Edition, in White with 19" alloys and Dunlops 235/35 and 255/35, with Bilstein adjustable suspension and Cobra exhaust system (?) using the 07 MY engine. The car will also have a signed plaque by the drivers of the 24hr nurburgring team. I love white zeds... more info in spanish ... here... http://www.motorspain.com/10-07-2007/ma ... ng-edition
  14. Good point... but the TWOC'er would have to be very desperate, and who is depsperate for an A8... on the other hand the same kit on a lambo might make it worth while... Sarnie forget about it...
  15. New Audi A8 has a fingerprint recognition system as an option for keyless ignition system... definetely the way to go... very cool...
  16. where's that... I don't recognise the name but i might have...
  17. .....you a Bedford boy - same as me! Yes I am , well shortstown area... GM 54 coupe alezan I might have spotted you and gave you a nod... I have seen a GM, a Blade, a sunset and a Blue Roadster... at least twice in bedford so starting to think they are all local... by the way the dealer demo is not black is that dark non-descript blue... don't like it at all....
  18. sorry lack of commas... I mean the problem is that they are JDM, and for a LHD vehicle (Spanish one...) they interfere with the steering system. ermm english was not my first language...
  19. To be honest I think just keeping the ESP ON and giving it some stick round a couple of quiet roundabouts, and gradually change the point where you accelerate out of a bend will give you a feel of where the limits are... but my advice is don't stop at the first minor intervention of the ESP, give it a little extra on top of that and just get the "feel" , once you get the feeling of what is going on , play with the amount of throttle you put at what stage of the bend exit. Experiment with a combination of the following Steering angle and amount of throttle you apply out of a bend (alway with some steering angle ... straight wheels is easy) Lot of steer and lot of throttle means a spin.. lot of steer and gradual throttle input could mean an unbelievable cornering experience... Lot of steer no throttle on the other hand Little steer & high throttle, will lead to spin Little steer ( not enough to get you round the bend you went in....) and gradual throttle will add "steering" into the bend helping you make the corner no problem. It is strange but try these combinations in a nice quiet set of roundabouts and you'll feel it... But try and do all this without involving the steering... I mean once you have gone into the bend, keep the steering fixed at whatever you went into the bend with, and just experiment with trying to steer the car with the throttle pedal... but very gradual input of throttle, NOT steps in throttle input... As some one once told me and it is true (but does sound a bit weird... ) , in a nice radius bend, keep steady steering input and just "curl your toes" this is the amount of throttle change you need to notice a change in the steering , a few mm more and you will notice the car tighten into the bend ever so slightly... ease off (uncurl the toes) and you'll notice the car going a little bit wider... after this then it is simply a matter of more or less throttle inputs... (also curling toes helps with circulation.... ) step by step, get a few ESP interventions and get a feel of where the car is at , then as mentioned , switch off the ESP and go wild and experience a full drift, back end out etc... but this will not show you how to go quicker round corners... It is this "steer with throttle pedal" and getting that feel, smooth and controlled that will give you the biggest rewards on the road... Ahhh i miss my driver trainings, haven't done any in two years... I need more ...
  20. yes he did mention he tried to seel them on ebay but got no joy, he thought perhaps because the low rating he had mostly for purchases not sales... anyway looks like he's reduced from the ebay post...
  21. the microphone is not integrated into the headunit, so surely you could bypass the microphone cables from the roof mounted trim (black plastic trim in front of the interior lights..) and wire these microphone cables to the microphone input of the aftermarket mike... I am not sure on the electrics, how or where the cables run through... and if the specification (ohms impedance or whatever it is... ) of the mike will have any effect... but there must be some wiring going from the roof , maybe not even to the head unit ( you don't need to hear it..) , but maybe going to the handsfeee kit directly... But these are only my unresearched opinions...
  22. press and hold the top left button for more than two seconds and it will go directly to CLOCK, then press it again and goes back to whatever you had previously...
  23. in 1997 i got myself an auction special A-REG (I think) renault 11 for the sum of 230pounds... the best seats I have ever sat on... The door locks didn't work, but no one ever nicked it... and this was living in Sunderland... (don't get me wrong half my family come from Sunderland... so I am only being objective on what i know of sunderland, no offence meant to 90% of "makkams"... it is the TWOCER, SCUM I refer to...)
