I have had the other RR quarter panel resprayed to sort out a previous crap job, (260 quid for full panel) and had a roof respray to sort out thin paint and brid crap marks... 200 quid... so i think you are realistically looking at around 250 quid plus bumper scuff 100 quid...if you just walk into a bodyshop... unless you know someone whos got a mate who works in a bodyshop.....

The only way you should should be going with regards to lowering is DOWN (obvious really) If you want a cheap alternative to lower your vehicles' ride I found these on the internet... surely this "sales of goods" act entitles you to a vehicle in good condition. Considering this clicking axle thingy is a know concern, with a technical bulletin issued by Nissan themselves should grant you enough evidence to put a claim to the dealer who sold you a car with a concern... even if it is to negotiate and say you will go halves in the repair costs at a local nissan dealer...

Maybe I am confused but from what you are saying it sounds like the dte indicated is in KM.... not miles as you think... there is 1.609km to a mile, so if the 450 figure is km then it would translate to 450/1.609= 279.67 miles which is what you are actually getting "bang-on" so you dte is ACCURATE in km... not miles...

The squashcow comes in 2WD (majority of sales is planned on 2WD ) and 4WD version (basically the same system as Xtrail but with less ground clearance....) 2WD is available on 1.5Diesel, 1.6 petrol and 2.0 diesel and petrol 4WD is available on 2litre petrol and 2 litre diesel... The 4WD is the expensive option...and expected to have a low take by customers... 1.5 diesel is pretty good in 2WD, good looks, good economy, good dynamics...

I currently live in bedford and new job potentially in Coventry, but missus still has a job down here, so relocation point is not yet decided, in the meantime I will commute bedford to coventry (120 miles/day!!!!) and later on northampton to coventry 50miles/day , probably... if it is northhapmton to coventry commute, i will definetely get a new zed... i will definetely stick around.. If you want as spacious as the CRV , buy an Xtrail, if you want a sporty SUV with good interior quality feel, nice ride and handling and a bit of off-roadiness... then the "squashcow" is for you... nice motor... ALSO ask "Letank" about the car and the fuel economy of this machine...
