  1. Zzzz...

    370z

all is not lost boys and girls ... infiniti is coming along with the same engine... and suspension tuned to european "needs" and i think it looks a bit better... but maybe the price will be a bit worser... I know which one would be my choice... to infiniti and beyond!!!
  2. mats have now gone... rest will be on ebay... if you find them (quiri_go_home will be the seller) just quote your 350z-uk name if you bid and you win I will proivide an option for free delivery and this will be open to any 350z-uk members:teeth:
  3. i am back.... thanks Mickeyk ok here are some pics which should help with the sale... apologies for the slowness of response but between being in India and coming back to a house with a hole in the living room ceiling and a swimming pool in the lounge... I have been slightly distracted... The Boot Mat The Front MATS Detail of the wear on the back side of the drivers mat... the front as you can see is pretty OK. Then the Autosock and bulb kit I am not putting a photo of the RR tyre I have as you all know what it might look like .... There are currently two parties interested based on the personal messages left. First person requested the pics to be posted... here they are . if you are still interested let me know, otherwise I will move to the second interested party. (you know who you are...) Cheers...
  4. Hi there guys, long time no speak... but I am doing a garage clearout since the departure of my Z... I have A boot mat ( with 350z logo) nice and thick... excellent condition. Footwell mats x2 driver side has some wear but still ok I have a spare bulb kit from Nissan Pre-Facelift I have one tyre with 5mm tread... and an unused autosock http://www.autosock.co.uk/ nevere actually needed it but the very northern guys might appreciate this... for that day it might snow and you are out with the Z...it will take you back home safer... so before they go on ebay I offer the above to any forum member interested any sensible offers will be accepted. I rather not post stuff, so if you can collect from MK42 0FD great... alternative I am working all the way up in coventry so between coventry and Bedford I could arrange to meet somewhere central... If some one wants the whole lot for 50 quid it is theirs for the taking. If you think it is worth more that 50 quid ... then donate the rest to the forum... If I have no interest after 2 weeks I will put it on Ebay... Cheers guys ...
  5. I suggest you get yourself a palm PDA and download and go to http://www.japaninyourpalm.com/ it has a database of basic sentences which you can keep in your PDA, and recommendations but mainly around hiroshima... (I think it was developed by some FORD guys for when they had to visit the MAZDA plants in the hiroshima area...) also download METRO program with the TOKYO underground... (Pocket PC, Windows Mobile or palm... ) unbelievable help ... specifically have a look at this page http://www.japaninyourpalm.com/surprises.htm I have been to Kyoto, Tokyo, And a few other areas "up North" some of them for Snowboarding... but I think for a first visit, you should try and include Tokyo and Kyoto. as contrasting as you will ever find in JAPAN, but still accomodating enough for "gaijins" . TOKYO will give you the city bustle and the cool Japan KYOTO will give you temples and a more traditional view of Japan... (In Kyoto I bet you will be lucky and you will find a group of students willing to be you guide for the day , FOR FREE, purely as a chance for them to practice their english, and if you are really lucky they will be very cute... , i do suggest that if you accept their offer, that you cover the entry tickets for the temples etc... (not much but it is a nice thank you gesture...) ) Also I heard Hiroshima is an impressive place also, but i have not visited it.
  6. humm i am not sure about this comment look, there are lots of cars that suit stripes... ... joking aside , do it... the zed can carry it out no problem...
  7. I think the main point is IS it fair for the goverment to "pick" on an easy income maker such as fuel taxation revenue, which affects all or most UK taxpayers...? I do believe this problem roots much deeper than fuel and cars and pollution etc... i am no expert but I am sure that IF the goverment was a bit clever and tougher on handing out benefits to anyone that walk throught the benefits agency office... and also maybe didn't require to sponsor US tourist holidays in Afganistan Iraq, then maybe it would not have to try and recover so much money from hard working UK taxpayers... but then again , what do i know... It is just my ignorant viewpoint...
  8. "Antidisestablishmentarianism" i never knew what it meant... now i do...
  9. Stew Etymologist = wordsmith. Someone who looks at the historically verifiable sources of the formation of a word and the developement of its meaning. I just love word for words sake mate. LOL Ming the Thinker I FOUND THE BEST WEBSITE FOR THE BUDDING ETYMOLOGIST! http://www.youtube.com/user/hotforwords I love learning...I do...
  10. So what....... do we just sit back and let these idiots walk all over us as usual? Aye xstric9x Im right behind you, as you once told me on the battlefield outside Tescos: fight and you may die, run, and you'll live...at least a while. And dying in you deathbeds, many years from now, wouldn't you be willing to trade all of that from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our government that they may take away our petrol, but they'll never take away our freeeedoooomm. Class.... I still like the idea of boycotting majpor brands in favour of supermarket fuels, so that the big names feel the pinch and compete with supermarkets, who then compete again with the big names etc... until there is little or no profit in the petrol for either of them... THEN these big corporations will start bending MR browns ear and influencing his decision on tax...if we all did it i think it could work... (That's my dream anyway...) So I only buy petrol ( or diesel these days... ) from Tesco, sainsburys, morrisons, and in the event of an emergency I'll accept something like texaco ( as there are a few I can depend on between home and work, but never buy from BP, esso, shell. ) I know it probably won't work but hey... "every little helps"... (as I slap my arse pocket full of pennies...)
  11. the item is now on ebay and 1 day to go. Any www.350z-uk.com forum members I will give you free postage! if you win the adaptor, select in delivery options the "collect in person" option, this will save you a fiver in shipping, I will post it anyway, but I though I give the forum members a bit of a fair deal.
  12. Here they go: (Before they go on EBAY) Front mats for 350Z with 350Z logo embroidered , and trunk mat with logo embroidered. The trunk mat not only looks good but it does help to dampen some of the road noise from the RR. They have been used but they are in ok condition. £75.00 for the lot , but we'll have to sort out how to deliver (I live MK42 so collection is OK or I would be willing to travel half hour to an hour to meet half way for example... otherwise I will have to post and this will be extra) PM if you are interested.
  13. I have the BT adaptor that goes into the phone kit install already setup on UK spec cars (Sorry JDM imports do not come with the basic phone kit install so cannot be used.) This is the module that holdcrofts sells on ebay for around 100 quid... I'll take £65. for details on how to install and operate go to this thread: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8312 Anyone interested PM me THANKS
  14. good luck mate, i know how you are feeling and i ended going the part exchange route... nasty people car dealers (most of them the ones that frequent this forum are very nice indeed) ....and you have to push and push to get the right price for it this way... I originally got offered 13k for my 54 uk GT spec! i nearly decked the salesperson..., after much wheeling and deeling i got them to my advertised price (well close enough... ) and the main reason they said is that they are going to have to wait till end of JAN - Feb to sell the car so they will be stuck with this car for 2-3 months... good luck and hope it all goes well I don't think it is the price,as they say it is a bargain! , I think it is just not the right time... come Jan feb people will be pouring in...
  15. yep, as sarnie mentioned before, white is on offer, so that will be THE ONE... no doubt about it... with ginger interior... i like it, pale skin and ginger has always been my weakness...
  16. The car has now gone ...to a local friendly toy-mota dealer. desperate for business, he offered me what i was after... and bought myself a tepid hatch (it is not hot as it is a diesel... ) , pics to come... in 6 months time or less this will become my missus car and I hope and I can move back into a new zed. it is amazing when you get back down to earth -Twice the seats -More than twice fuel efficiency -twice the boot space -Half the insurance -Half the servicing ... Half the fun and half the ASW'ing Anyway hope to keep lurking around while I am in this transition stage... (as i said i want to hit my 1000 post without serious post-whoring...
  17. hello Just wanted to know if you are still interested in the spare set of standard alloys and tyres I had for the zed. If you are I won't put them on Ebay, otherwise I was planning on putting them up for sale this week. I am thinking 250 quid is fair price for them, and if you could meet me around the M4 on the 15th of december when i head up to haverfordwest, then i could take them there for you (free delivery!) . Let me know what you think. Cheers! Tony
  18. Parkers guide recommends 16k for part exchange... which is the lowest guide price they indicate (apart from the price for a sh!tter) ... I hate this ... but i have no option at this stage, I have accepted the loss...
  19. Can I suggest that if you are stuck with finding the right car with the right price at the dealers, you should have a look at some of the private ads in this forum or piston heads... for example there is a very COOL guy ( ) here who has his zed for sale and has loved it and taken good care of it.. 54 plate 45 k on the clock, UK spec car with all the GT options except the navi...and he's only asking 15995. a bargain if you ask me... I am sure he could even cut you a bit of a small deal for being a member of probably the best forum on the internet...ehemmm here is the link... http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=
  20. I have revised the adverts out there for my car and removed the option of having my spare set of wheels included in the sale... so basically they can be yours ... make me a (reasonable) offer and they are yours. delivery wise... if you can wait until around the 15th of dec I will be driving on the M4 towards pembroke some time around that date... so i could meet you in some convenient junction of the M4... If you wanted them earlier, we could meet halfway (say Reading..) somewhere... or some and collect them if you are going to be near bedford any time soon.
  21. I guess trying to get 17k from someone just before xmas... is a bit difficult... so here it goes... 15995 o.n.o fully loaded except the navi... UK GT SPEC car for JAP GREY IMPORT prices... surely this will attract some attention...
  22. Air Con System Compressor =5-10kg all the gubbins ...2-3 kg... electric adjust on seats and motor. speakers and subwoofer perspex glass all round... gas struts on tailgate, 2 wheel nuts/wheel (you have 5...so tighten the other very well.) run it on minimum oil and check it every hour... just in case run it with 5 litres of petrol...and refill every time you check the oil remove one rear and one front brake disc and pad ( you have esp ... i am sure it will correct it... ) 2 hinges per door? waste! , keep one...bin the other... same for tailgate (if you delete the gas strus... acquire a stick to hold the tailgate up) bumper reinforcer beams, behind the plastic bumper... no problems just don't crash... headrests.... seatbelts retractor mechanisms, airbag modules, weighted gearknob.... the opportunities are endless....
  23. The Novidem has 18'' bronze Nismo LMGT4 wheels not these! I know because I've just been sitting in it you're right ... i think... they are quite similar... neee..
  24. you have to consider the beautiful lines of the original concept and the harmonious flow of the styling lines on the original version. This is a cannibalisation of the originals purity of design...a maxpowered version of what was a beatifull concept... A ferrari with halford ripspeed kit... I much prefer .. i don't know .... something like this ... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/282431.htm opsss... that will be mine...
  25. depending how my sale goes next week... I might have a set of std alloys ( in need of refurb but no chunks removed, or dents etc...) with michelin pilot sports (3-4mm front, 2mm rr) and it is possible in mid december i will be going over to pembrokeshire...so depending where in south wales, I could deliver somewhere local... I'll let you know later on this week, through this thread, if the wheels are available... if you are interested, make me a (sensible-ish) offer, and you can have them...
