  1. you can change it?!
  2. hmm - now i have never used the nissan satnav - but I know that there is no free TMC service in the UK (there is in some parts of europe), only subscription ones.. oh and
  3. mines been like that for 2 years now since I got it (perhaps slightly less severe - no grinding noticed!) - kinda used to it!
  4. TDI have no spare slots on this or next weekend btw.. no mechanic this saturday, and the next one is booked out for a club dyno day. I'm going tomorrow afternoon to have rear camber arms fitted and adjusted
  5. same time/day as meet at Halfway House ..
  6. 5 is the Invisible Man?
  7. they will definately do well over 160.. something around 168 I seem to recall ... (haven't hit the limiter in mine mind you - but I do know the speedo is 5mph out at @150 according to gps)
  8. I'm still up for a small meet and some lunch
  9. main thing is the price is far too high!
  10. http://www.theateamvan.com/ was on ebay a month or so back
  11. wtf? why has it got whiskers?
  12. they do, just had my coilovers done there.. they couldnt dial in enough rear camber though (need new camber arms for that).. haltech is running well
  13. ^^ sounds about right to me! no idea if the ecu is "locked" - doubt it!
  14. bumping after less than 3 hours? new record! damn - this is a bump too
  15. as you say, you can get a lot of car for your money atm! (and the running costs are very reasonable!)
  16. it means the clutch material is organic based - rather than being ceramic or metallic. I think generally that organic clutches do not handle heat as well as ceramic ones, but they are easier to drive and less wearing. see: http://www.subydude.com/osc/detailsdoc.php?3065
  17. results were on last page of this thread... as is a link to TDI blog.. http://tdi-plc.com/blog/ and yep 3.5 hours seems fast to me too but they appear to have done a good job (and they had tuned a Haltech G35 before)
  18. OK - picked up the car this morning and drove it home (about an hour)... the car is much more driveable than ever really, picking up much much better from 3000-4000 rpm particularly (and also not tailing off past 6000 although I only got to try that once!).. gathering speed from 80 to 100 in 5th on the motorway it feels significantly improved - you put your foot down and stuff seems to happen quite a bit more quickly.. I would say the car is 10% faster the car starts and runs perfectly fine and there are no problems noted so far! both me and TDI were pleased with the results, especially in the torque curve! to give some indication of the cost: total cost is hard to quantify as I had some other work done at the same time, however fitting the ECU must be under an hour and TDI used 3.5 hour of dyno time to tune the ECU (most of the gains came from adjusting cam timing) at £95 an hour.. so lets say 400 quid fitting/tuning and the ECU was 965 - and then add VAT = £1570 more impressions will surely follow over the coming week or two
