  1. well spotted! its actually blinking cos its at 17 miles left - and the photo is during a blinky bit
  2. sure - its the time when you get home from clubbing?
  3. ah i see yes I have a double DIN head unit, but if you have a single DIN one then you gain a small cubby space
  4. either a hole (which I had) - or a sat nav screen and controls..
  5. you dont want to see the outside of the car atm then Nixy! thats not the OEM head unit no - and that screen isnt normal either..
  6. Pingu, sure it does mate, wasn't meaning the say it doesn't look good.... It might be the way that the light falls on that area. Just that the centre is defo the bit that looks the most natural! I'll try and get a better picture sometime
  7. its not the best picture of the switch bit - sorry! anyway I think it looks reasonable - but the center console is definately the blingiest!
  8. had a spare 30 mins today and managed to get the kit installed - looks VERY nice I think, better than I thought it would tbh.. happy bunny!
  9. afraid i dont know about the sat nav though!
  10. really minging - bmw are going downhill fast..
  11. Thanks for the clip Neo! shame we didn't get Tiff driving it
  12. I did it without a harnless adapter but it would be easier with one! i did use the pac though (and a facia adapter - although I had it installed for months without one and nobody noticed! - it is slightly nicer WITH it) - the link to facia adapter WILL fit a double din - you have to cut the middle bit of the facia out and sand edges back.. easy btw I got a kenwood HU too and I find it ok - cheaper model than the one you want though!
  13. cant make any weekend in august some other time!
  14. havent done any work on the carputer for a month now really - been quite busy! hoping to have some time in september for it
  15. think the 9k was additional costs awarded on top of the 14k write-off of the car originally paid..
  16. that's great news :kicking
  17. DAMN YOU JAY! youre STILL copying me! got my kit sitting at home waiting for me to have time to fit it!
  18. hmm I dont think the Toyo are terribly soft - sure they arent rock hard like some budget east european brands.. but personally I quite like having grip when im driving! as long as i get 10k from them ill be happy!
  19. well if it only came up to eh door sill and you got out of it quick then maybe it will be ok! fingers crossed!
  20. no blueprints?! no engineering prototype!? no scale model for wind tunnel testing!? SHODDY!!
  21. car sounded pretty ordinary to my ears.. he wasnt really giving it enough beans..
  22. insurers often write off because of the long term problems that water damage can cause.. problems that you cant see for months..
  23. looks cool got my kit waiting at the parcelforce depot now - did you have to trim/sand any pieces at all?
  24. I would definately go through your insurers, or let them know the score ASAP - water damage can get very expensive, and can cause problems for many months or years (with electrics/corosion etc).. a colleague of mine flooded his alfa last year driving through a flooded road to similar depth and it was written off despite being 1 year old..
