  1. hmm I dont think the Toyo are terribly soft - sure they arent rock hard like some budget east european brands.. but personally I quite like having grip when im driving! as long as i get 10k from them ill be happy!

  5. insurers often write off because of the long term problems that water damage can cause.. problems that you cant see for months..
  6. looks cool got my kit waiting at the parcelforce depot now - did you have to trim/sand any pieces at all?

I would definately go through your insurers, or let them know the score ASAP - water damage can get very expensive, and can cause problems for many months or years (with electrics/corosion etc).. a colleague of mine flooded his alfa last year driving through a flooded road to similar depth and it was written off despite being 1 year old..
  8. damn generally insurers write off any car that has had the interior flooded.. tbh if water has got into the cockpit I would push for a write off anyway.. sorry to hear the news - gutting
  9. pretty sure its impossible to get 42mpg! you need to fill it up, drive, then fill up again to find how much youre really using!
  10. if you just reset the MIL light without resetting the fuel trim, maybe the O2 sensor stays within range?
  11. missed the courier today - doubt ill fit it till next week anyway tbh!
  12. they arent the same? the obd-ii is only resetting the CEL light and not the ECU (ie not the fuel trims etc).. to reset the ecu fully via the diagnostic port you need nissan consult or similar?

  14. general consensus on the new skyline was that it was pretty ugly orange colour looked OK I thought - they had a lovely 240Z in yellow that I fancied though!
  15. my RSW carbon fibre stuff should be here today - hoping the fit is decent!   16. spotted@FOS: new skyline, going up hill unfortunately they unwrapped it, ran it up the hill and then hid it again also they had the 350z that was in last months Evo mag, with the RJN roll cage and nismo seats etc - nismo seats look nice, may have to consider..
  17. it is possible to keep the bose unit and create an aux-in for it if you want to keep the bose HU and use a car PC - check around on my350z for that stuff!
  18. that is the 2003 version of the cubby (a new type was introduced in 2004) - it's the same as I used for my lcd install
  19. well the oem setup is certainly decent - doesnt mean it can't be improved!!
  20. right - I have 4 of these things lying around waiting for me to put them on.. how to get the old ones out/off though!? is it necessary to take the wheel off and push them out from behind?!
