That's actually exactly what I meant - it's by 3M. Don't know if I posted a link to something similar and not what I meant - but proably did knowing me!
I was chatting to someone on another site who had a 'car bra' on their mini cooper. Not one of those hideous things that looks like you've wrapped your car in black tape but a clear product by 3m Scotchguard which actually looks really good. It's a clear film that you can barely see which you can wax over and it protects your paint from stone chips etc. Does anyone have it and is it any good? Here's the link:

I am so glad for this post then because that's something that would totally do your head in if you didn't know about it! I've never heard of that before on any other car other than an automatic!
This is the first thing I want to get rid of! So, is it a hairdryer job or does it leave holes? I'd rather have nothing there than the fairlady badge! I've never actually taken a badge of a car with a hairdryer - is it safe and anyone got any tips to avoid scratches?
Really? I always depress the clutch just by force of habit in case anyone's left a car in gear but that's the first I've heard of a car not starting. So you can't turn the ignition on without getting in the car then - for example on a cold morning to warm it up first? Wierd! However, glad I know that now!
I guess at the end of the day if it's gonna mark your paintwork what's the problem, it's gonna have a plate over it anyway. Got my heavy duty velcro in the post this morning, it's fab stuff, used it before for number plates.
Hello there! I can't really offer too much help as yet as I'm still waiting for mine! There's lots of guys on here who will help with your questions though.
I'm the one that does all that in our house! New tv, car, dvd recorder whatever, you name it, I just get handed the instruction book! In fact the only thing I don't do is catch spiders - I knew I needed a bloke for something!
