i got lucky with the tax too dan........but some NOT so lucky...... I also think for the age, mileage and condition of my car, plus the extensive jap ice that was in it, it can't have been a daily driver. I guess the amazing public transport over there gets used more than cars!

i think you've hit the nail on the head there. I don't think Paul's bills are actually that price - its all to do with the estimations of the annual useage etc. Paul, you need to check your bills against your meters to see what you have actually used - the direct debit payment means jack! I just got my phone bill and although my DD is still £50 a month i'm in credit!

mine was a minter as well with seriously low mileage - its just the unfounded stigma. People can just as easily buy a dodgy uk car privately and have no comeback whatsoever! I'm happy to have an import - i got it cheaper and if i had to sell it I'd sell it cheaper - simples!

what total colour change were you thinking off if you did that? Or have you made your mind up about the two tone look now?

Just get the best possible condition and mileage car for your money is the key really. Shop around there are plenty at that price. Don't be wary of imports if they are in good condition but you should pay a little less.

Both great cars but ideally you should be paying a bit less for the same spec import as a uk car. Good luck!

Funniest one ever for me the other week - Argos car park. As I walked back to my car some guy was just parking next to me. He got so close he couldn't possibly get out of his car without touching mine - BUT i got here in time before he even tried. I got in my car and just sat there fiddling with my stereo etc knowing full well he could not get out as he'd parked so close. He just had to sit there.........and sit there.............and sit there............. I was so glad i got there in time or no doubt he would have just damaged my door! TW4T!
