well may not have a garage at all in my next house but will defo be more cautious now! Just so pleased i'm not posting up that my car is a write off! Much prefer roller doors!

I'm a dab hand at reversing up the hard standing, putting the revs on and shooting backwards into the garage in one go though now!

Just had one of the garage doors mended and it seems its rather well lubricated.......I found this out as i was reversing into it this evening and it decided to close! I shot backwards and it narrowly missed the roof and came to a gentle stop literally a milimetre above my bonnet. I reversed the rest of the way in and took this pic. A second earlier and my roof would have been caved in!

I had similar on mine but was definitely the tyres. Sounded horrendous at low speed but disappeared as soon as you went faster. My tyres had noticeably feathered and the fronts were worn on the inner edges. Got new tyres and had it laser aligned and been fine since. Seems not to be the case on yours but like you say, if it was a wheel bearing would the noise go away at higher speed? Odd.

+1 apart from the eastern european lady! The workmen in the roadworks on my way to work seem to like it though!

it may also be useful to do a search on here to get evidence of the people that HAVE had them replaced under warranty as there seems to be a lot of inconsistency surrounding claims for this. good luck!

It was the same on my Type R - the space saver never cleared the front brakes and needed to be put on the back and the tyres swapped over - although the tyres were not different sizes like on the zed. Is this not covered in the handbook at all?

Reminds me of when i was a kid and my dad used to 'do up' cars in our garage at home. He always used to say a black vinyl roof hid a multitude of sins - until one day a monkey at longleat peeled it off! I think the process has come on a bit since then! Looks nice Dom!
