mm, tricky then. Can only go on stuff that was advertised which is not there, not the fact its not a uk car if they never said it was.......

make sure you get a copy of the ad saying its a uk car before they change it............. also get some other adverts with prices of uk cars versus imports so you can compare.

funny thing is i HAVE noticed a few MPG difference with BP ultimate but NOT with tesco 99...........odd. I do alternate but that's more to do with my paranoia. I'm sure boggo is just fine.

no i totally agree with you! I know one or two people have come on here asking about changing bumpers to uk just because of the way the prefer to look but on the whole it would raise major suspicions to me too! I would say it needs a full inspection and yeah I reckon about a grand too! If its all ok then that money could be very handy and he still has a nice car.

Mine's like that. The actual speedo and clocks are all as UK which was done at the time by the importer. The pod with the computer is in KPH. Like you said, when i'm doing 70mph the pod says 70kph. Its no big deal to be honest. The only irritating thing for me is the DTE shows in KM and the computer also shows fuel consumption as KM per Litre. I'm totally used to it now. The only way to change that would be to swap your pods out for uk ones. Edit: yes your speedo will be correct. It would not have passed SVA otherwise. Lots of them have the black tape but the actual way it works will have been readjusted

As long as the car hasn't had cosmetic work done because of any accident damage then maybe the best way to go would be to come try to come to an agreement where you get some money back from them. If the car's fine then keep it but don't pay a penny more than you would for an import, which it clearly is. Absolutely nothing wrong with it being an import other than it should be cheaper than a UK car. You might be able to fund some mods with the extra cash?

But what is even worse than the fact they clearly would never use it is how the hell they get away with the small print at the bottom of the screen? Cheryl's / Davina's / whoever's - hair was styled using natural HAIR EXTENSIONS. The mascara for false eyelash effect, er, styled using LASH INSERTS (false eyelashes.....). How the hell they get away with that is beyond me. You can't even use normal shampoo on hair extensions!
