  1. That would solve the directional problem yes, but if they have started to wear unevenly due to incorrect fitment, then this is not a solution.

  10. It's likely that the steering wheel is off centre because they didn't have it centered when they made the adjustments. Best to get it double checked though.
  11. Fitting directional tyres the wrong way round is very much likely to cause excessive and possibly uneven wear. It will also considerable effect the stability of the car in the wet as the tread won't be able to displace the water.
  12. That's a massive amount. Your last set of tyres must have had some interesting wear to them They certainly did I need to take it back tomorrow though as now the steeringwheel does not return back to the correct position when driving straight I presume you mean that it's off centre

  16. Was that a Ford Cupri or a Ford Capri?
  17. I'm going to stick my neck out here and suggest that this type of wear can be the result of hard acceleration in the lower gears. When you boot it, the rear sits down and the back tyres adopt a negative camber which is why the outer edges are not as worn as the rest of the tyre. That's my opinion anyway
  18. Mine didn't either and I've had it from new

  20. Agreed you would feel a right knob. Mind you some Ferrari owners probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.
  21. Although it wasn't my intention it looks as if I've stimulated a bit of a debate here. I agree that it's a bit naff, but have to say it looks a damm sight better than some of the stuff that driving around for this sort of money.
